They don't accept that Russia before the war was a country filled with Kleptomaniacs and killed any political opposition and journalists... We still don't know if Putin is the richest man in the world from his campaign of corruption, theft and murder...

He holds his country together (i.e.not going to overthrow & kill him) by brutal internal police tactics (i.e. murder and imprisonment), propaganda (nationalistic chest pounding and blaming minorities or foreigners)...
