China would turn them down.
Russia might not though.

China needs a piece of Arctic and ready to invest a lot of money in it, but they can't defend Greenland from united NATO forces. Russia already have a lot of Arctic lands, but it needs a lot of investment, but Russia can defend Greenland from EU (if America is neutral) or from America (if EU is neutral). Defending Greenland from simultaneously America and Europe, even with Russian total superiority in icebreakers might be a tricky game.
China without Russian support won't even try to take Greenland. Russia alone unlikely (but we can't rule it out) to try to take Greenland if America and EU are together.
But if the EU and Denmark are bitching about selling Greenland (and want to continue their strategic parasitism) and America is just washing her hands (and totally rule out possibility of their military involvement), then, of course, Russian and China might take it.

3) They demand from the USA to withdraw their bases (vitally important for the safety of America) from Greenland, and invite Chinese and Russians to control it.
4) Local Innuits are totally pro-American and they are going to declare independence and then ask to join the USA.

You suggestions, what should America do:
a) support pro-American Innuits or
b) allow Danish Regime take American bases (vitally important for the safety of the USA).
