Olivia Newton-John, the Australian singer whose breathy voice and wholesome beauty made her one of the biggest pop stars of the '70s and charmed generations of viewers in the blockbuster movie "Grease," died on Monday, according to a statement from her husband. She was 73.

If you were around in the 70's, you knew who she was.
Her music, her movies were all over the place.
Hers was the ONLY concert I ever paid to go to in my life.
Grease is no longer "the word", it is OLIVIA FOREVER!!
1) what talent?
She was born beautiful and with a decent voice.
She did not work to achieve these things.
She had them since birth.
I am taller and larger/stronger than most people.
But I was born that way.
It is not an achievement.
It's just something I was given.
Same with her looks/voice.
2) Her acting was decent at best.
She could dance okay - but almost anyone can be taught to dance alright.
No big 'talent' there.
3) you NEVER knew her.
So you have NO IDEA how 'nice' she was.
Her being nice in interviews and in her roles means NOTHING.
That was her image and she played it up.
Unless you knew her personally?
You have no frigging idea how 'nice' she was.
NONE.
And forget others calling her 'nice'.
Almost all actors call almost all other actors 'nice'.
You people are pathetic.
Thousands of children are starving to death right now in Yemen.
How many children are murdered every year in America alone?
Do you losers start threads about each and every one of them?
Noooooo.
Are they less deserving then she was of your concern?
Apparently - to you losers - yes.
Because you nothings are superficial and (largely) stupid.
But some once, hot-looking, little talent, 'chick' that sung fluffy, pop songs that she NEVER, EVEN WROTE dies at 73?
And it's a BIG deal.
You people are pathetic.
And your sense of depth and perspective is laughable.
No wonder the world is SO fucked up.
So many idiots like you have your priorities all screwed up.
In Addition to entertainment she was extremely active with Cancer causes for decades. As half my family has died from cancer and I prob will too, bon voyage to a better place.
Olivia Newton-John died at age 73 in Southern California. The "Grease" actress and Australian singer shared 30-year journey with breast cancer before her death.
Can you find sandisk’s thread on starving children? I can’t, it seems that he just replies to threads where he cares nothing about the people instead of a thread about children starving. Seems he is just an empty poster with nothing to offer but his jealousy that there are people a lot better than he is.
