There is a line there that the government would love to cross, such as when they threaten to take away our freedoms with false promises of security and being "safer."

The cartoon is great because it perfectly demonstrates exactly the kind of BS the government officials try to pull on us citizens or "commoners" all the time. You have to keep them on tight reins and keep them on their toes and remind them that we know what's up!

As a Marxist I can appreciate the value that capitalism has brought to the development of our society. But it is time to move on. It's failing us now.

But at the same time, dramatically increased welfare and other social programs. - a true elitist.

They're capitalists. Plain and simple. Increase the rate of return is there overriding concern. Changing the name doesn't disguise it.

I am a believer in a free market system, of which we most certainly do not have. Capitalism unfortunately is what free markets eventually become.

Capitalism is nothing more than a method of producing commodities. A method that produces an accumulation of capital with which the capitalist uses to manipulate the market.
The market is not nor will it ever be free. And it should not be conflated with the system of production.

Capitalists have no ability to control anything. CRONY capitalists is what you're referring to.
