it has to do with being forced out of the service because of it, and the question of someone's early retirement after putting in 15-20 years of service. The causes are different, the end result is where the issues meet.

The U.S. Air Force has decided to deny early retirement options for transgender service members with 15 to 18 years of service.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. Air Force said Thursday it would deny all transgender service members who have served between 15 and 18 years the option to retire early and would instead separate them without retirement benefits. One Air Force sergeant said he was “betrayed and devastated” by the move.

The move means that transgender service members will now be faced with the choice of either taking a lump-sum separation payment offered to junior troops or be removed from the service.

An Air Force spokesperson told The Associated Press that “although service members with 15 to 18 years of honorable service were permitted to apply for an exception to policy, none of the exceptions to policy were approved.” About a dozen service members had been “prematurely notified” that they would be able to retire before that decision was reversed, according to the spokesperson who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss internal Air Force policy.

I agree that pursuing the transgender lifestyle, including hormones and other gender treatment, rather than just cross-dressing on the drag equivalent of karaoke night, is incompatible with military service. But their CIC said they were fine to do that and that the military would pay for it, so they did it. As long as they followed all other orders, and did their jobs when not on medical leave, they were in compliance.

Give them their early retirement and be rid of them. This move will only garner them sympathy, even from Trumpers like myself. They will sue, and if a Democrat ever holds the WH again, they will be settle with, likely for millions.

They probably found out that it was illegal if not authorized by Congress. and the bill would never survive the Democrats and RINOs. My program was passed by a Democrat Congress under Bill Clinton's regime.

It did not continue for 15 to 18 years. Starting in 2016, trannies already in the miliary were allowed to come out and still serve.

So guys who had been keeping their dress up activities to weekends in drag clubs in cities far away from their army base could suddenly take that fetish mainstream and every day became halloween.

From their perspective changing it now is a bait and switch. Had they never been allowed in the first place, they could have stayed in whatever secret drag queens call "the closet" and retired after twenty.

Which is fine with me. Dressing like a woman for fun was never against the rules of the military. Homo stuff was, but not playing dress up. Happened in many skits, especially in the Navy. That's what some guys do when deprived of female company.

Wally has been invited to join The Crusaders, a prestigious high school club for guys. Shortly after he joins the club will be putting on their annual play. This year it is a western, and Wally assumes it will be a bit part because he is new. But it's not exactly a bit part. He in fact has a big part with lots of dialogue and action. Why is this not a good thing according to Wally? Because he is supposed to play a saloon girl and wear a ridiculous outfit! You see, the Crusaders is an all male club, so the guys have to play the female parts as well as the male ones.

Wally is most un-Wally like here. Normally he is so stoic about whatever it is that life throws his way, but here he rants like he is five years old. Ward comes up to his room and offers a possible way out of this situation via a fable. The moral of the fable is to find a bigger fool - to make the part look so attractive to someone else that they want it and thus let him off the hook. Normally I would expect Ward to tell Wally to take this in the fun it is intended, but Ward is not acting like himself either.

So Wally goes looking for that bigger fool - enter stage left Eddie Haskell, who is just an extra in this play and thus only has two lines, but at least he gets to wear trousers! How will this work out? Watch and find out.
