Neither Trump nor Obama deserve credit for increasing oil production. The increase happened because of improvements in fracking. The fracking increase that happened under Obama could have reached the same heights it did under Trump if Obama wasn't creating no-fracking zones on wildlife reserves and increasing the power of the EPA as well as trying to prioritize green energy.

What Trump does deserve credit for is doing nothing. Unlike Obama, he didn't impose fracking bans, didn't encourage the EPA to harass fossil fuel companies, and basically did his best to remove government interference. He got the government bureaucrats off the back of the over-regulated fossil fuel industry and gave the oil drillers the elbow room and incentive they need to get their work done, which enabled them to provide a vital resource to our nation's economy.

The Keystone Pipeline is operational. The XL extension project has been suspended. Nto one drop of oil has stopped flowing down from Canada because of the suspension. He also paused the leasing program for review and has not stopped exploration, development or production on any lease.

Yes, it was a section of the Keystone that was shut down. They ship the oil in trucks and trains through that section and will continue to do that. Sorry, didn't realize you didn't know that and needed a detailed explanation.

They fail to understand that in 2020 refinery capacity was reduced and it has not resumed its production level and is at a five year low.
