Ohtani has just pitched 7 shutout innings and hit 3 home runs in game 4 of the NLDS.

I've never seen anything like it.
7 shutout innings, 10 strikeouts, and oh yeah, 3 home runs, one of which was a 469-foot monster off the roof. Absolutely unbelievable.

Maybe he had the longest. But others have dome it. Again, its batting practice for him nowadays. No one dares to pitch up & in like 1979 or 1998. Yawning//

because he liked the team and the area and said in an interview he liked playing here a lot, one of the reasons he signed with the dodgers no doubt....

They had discussions. I remember it. These big shot top players all "say that", then go take the highest dollar. Once agents get involved, it's over.

Sure, he liked to walk to work. All that stuff. I remember. All of them go to the biggest dollar from Hershieser back and forth to SF even! To Reggie, Pujols ...so many. I love STL he says. But $1M extra over ten years, can't pass that up, as example.

The guys no Saint. He and or his houseboat were running up $4million Sports gambling bills in a State where A. Its illegal. B. MLB has others suspended to the grave.

They overlook it for him? Like the Steroids era.

$350 million dollar deferred team gets by $100M slumping MIL. Yeah. Go team!

And tired of looking at Mary Hart front row behind home plate. So there. We'll see, yes we shall.

The highest paid lineup in MLB. I hate the Dodgers and hope they lose in the World Series.

It's rough. In one way I am all for the free Market. But you see a team that has almost no home-grown players, 4X-5X payroll of small market teams? Playing tricks on payroll. Its ugly.

But if you work at Amazon you can leave and go to UPS? Sigh.

Always the story, small market signs and develops a young star, loved by local fans. Mets or Dodgers bid high and take them away. Oh I know, a few stick around KC or CIN. But not many.

Toronto or Seattle have no chance against this team.
of course they dont the fact the dodgers represent everything that is wrong with baseball. thats what happens when you have the highest payroll in baseball. the dodgers have now taken the title away from the yankees "who held that title for two decades or so" as the team that represents everything that is wrong with baseball.

 Indeed:thup: Like I just said, they have now replaced the yankees as the team that represents everything that is wrong with the great sport of baseball. for DECADES the yankees had that honor now the dodgers have taken it from them.

This is the main reason I'd rather watch NFL football where every team has an equal chance.

Its amazing that a small market team like the Brewers had the best record in MLB. You have got to give them credit.

just because some guys are paid more does mean that they are better than the other lessor paid players.....

they choked....they were 6-0 against the dodgers during the season....i thought they would last at least 7 games....

yeah to even get that far against the highest payroll in baseball is amazing.quite an accomplishment. If it were not for those cheaters bidding for the highest best players in japen availabe not developing their own,the brewers would be in the series every year like they should be instead of those fraud dodgers. The dodgers are the frauds of baseball that the cheatriots under brady and belicheat are of NFL football.

Dogers learned to take the regular season more easily? Playoff ball is different.

They were never threatened much? Easier to pitch with a big lead and swing away up 4-5 runs.

Yelich and Vaughn had to hit for MIL. They did not. #3,4 hitters? Game over//

I used to like it when KerChoke got pounded every playoffs. $1million every start was big back then.

But, I think he did good in the most recent WS they won. But other than that?

You get tired hearing it. Every single thing handed to them all season long. Private travel, suites, $140/day meal money lol! Uniforms, conditioning and diet coaches, shrinks. Trainers, five umpires, golden platinum treatment, commercials, clubhouse buffet AND up to $75million for 6 months work. Still some want even more. Evil owners and all that. They go on strike.

Sure the travel is rough. So is 53 years up the 101 into SJ to build circuit prototypes in a dark 1970s' basement lab.
