This train wreck started with the art teacher. From what I understand, the trans kid was not hearing this conversation and not being "bullied" by it. Were I that teacher, I would have quietly gone over to the boys talking and said something to the effect of, "look fellas, this is very sensitive talk and not everyone shares you point of view. You have to be very careful about the way you talk about these things in school. I would highly suggest you keep these opinions to yourself, okay?"

There was no reason at all that art teacher needed to turn those boys in. Really. They were conversing among themselves. She turned them in for WrongThought. That was it.
