Ohio Rules That Pronoun Policy Violates First Amendment Rights

I was in a work meeting last summer where we discussed a 3 month project. There is one weirdo woman who insists on being called he. I declined to do so in the meeting.

Instead, I just kept using her name and not a pronoun. So I said things like, "Brit is progressing okay on the project, but I think Brit needs some help. Could we get Brit some help, so Brit can focus on the 3 main tasks instead of all of them." Right after, I said, "I'm not being critical of Brit because I think Brit does a good job, but Brit needs an assistant."

There were two people in the meeting who could hardly keep from busting out laughing.

Thats definitely one way to do it. I don't see it as hard to get around and don't use pronouns that much at work anyway.

To be polite. Like people over the age of 3 often do.

Don't worry, I don't have much expectation of a person like you.
Lying is immature and cowardly. There are tactful ways to handle many situations where people lazily resort to lying.

Why lie? Oh yeah you can't help it. Liberalism is based on lies.
And that is why you voted for, support, excuse, and defend a pathological liar.

You do what you do to be polite?

If that were true, wouldn't you be more polite while spinning your partisan lies?

I think MAGA Ohio controls the education system in Ohio.
It sounds like the lawsuit has resolved the issue. Personally, I fully support the determination of the court that this is a First Amendment issue for the students, so we are on the same page.

First, there is no MAGA Ohio Party, so the labelling attempt fails on the merits.

2nd, local cities control their school boards.

There is an Ohio Republican Party which controls the state.

But the state has ultimate control.

LOL, the State sets guidelines, the school boards control the schools, unless you have a city with strong mayoral control.

Lol, yes and you loons groom children about that age to think they can change their gender.
LOL! Your fake God Trump is a pedo, and you run your mouth about somebody grooming. Seems like most of the grooming is done by the right.

No proof, but we know you loons are grooming young children. That's more pedo than anything Trump has done.

If someone thinks they actually have the power to make a pronoun mean whatever they want it to, then they can make the words in the First Amendment mean whatever they want them to. The pursuit of unbridled power and meaningless words to satisfy desire and certainly not law, where words actually have meaning.

I respect that. But this is about cultural erosion even if the other person is unaware. Much bigger issue than the conversation at hand.
Maybe so. But keeping things pleasant at the moment in a one on one personal encounter I don't think is going to undermine any cultural structure. :)

Not for day to day crap like this.
As I said, it sounds like the lawsuit has resolved the issue. Personally, I fully support the determination of the court that this is a First Amendment issue for the students, so we are on the same page.

What? Given currently conditions I don't see this being an issue. If one believes in the pendulum theory, then the pendulum has started swinging the other way.

They try to guilt trip you if you don’t buy into the mental, emotional and social illness
