I'm pretty sure this proposed legislation was toothless and just done for show, but still, the Ohio politician who thought he was acting on his behalf to protect his beloved OSU is just reinforcing what the rest of the college football world has known over the past decades: The Buckeyes are soft and they throw temper tantrums when they lose.

So this triggered Ohio legislator proposed the O.H.I.O Sportsmanship act, that states that planting a flag on the "O" at the horseshoe stadium is not only legally prohibited by law, but is a 5th degree felony. A few things to notice here...

1. A felony... yes, you read that right... to plant a flag on a football field.
2. Notice that this "crime" does not cover any other football team in the state. Not Toledo, not Akron, not Bowling Green... just OSU.

How soft is this? Like... is this for real? It's freaking hilarious is what it is. While I'm a big Ron DeSantis fan, it's right up there with him stepping in and putting forth some toothless act to go after the NCAA for leaving FSU out of the CFP last year.

But geez, we watched OSU melt down when Michigan planted their flag in retaliation to disrespect is so pathetic. What disrespect? The OSU marching band, in one of their performances a few weeks before "The Big game", depicted a bear taking a dump on the Michigan flag.

Do I have a problem with that? No. Is that disrespect? Yes. Should Michigan go plant their flag on the field after the opposing team's band depicted that? Yes.

It's just so elitist.. so "gated community"... There will be NO flag planting at the sacred O of the horseshoe.. but everyone else? Go F yourself.

THE... Ohio State University just reinforced how soft it is.

This was really stupid and a really bad look.

I know right? Like... I can't believe that Ohio legislator thought this would be a good move. As a Michigan fan, it was an early Xmas present... more tears from the audacious, country club OSU faithful.

Michigan players seem to have a habit of getting into nasty fights with rivals, why is that?

In 2022, multiple players were involved in a post-game altercation in the locker room tunnel following Michigan's 29-7 win over Michigan State. Then-Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh told reporters that "two of our players were assaulted."

I would think you would want to limit these altercations before someone really gets hurt.

Is Michigan the only school that seems to get into these kinds of fights?

Seems like you’re reaching to set a narrative and offset accountability for individual instances

These are kids off the streets in many instances

In today's world, as a coach you are just happy if your players from the inner city don't cap each other off.

If this sort of crap continues, it won't end well.

If I were Michigan, I would go back to cheating and stop stirring up fights on the football field.

No one seemed to give a damn about that.

Oh boo-hoo, no program is stirring up fights. Look at you tossing aside accountability and making the emotional appeal because poor inner city kids aren't capable of acting like adults?

It's not Michigan's fault OSU's inner city's kids can't compose themselves.

If their band is taking craps on Michigan's logo, and refuses to even spell the name of "Michigan" or even say the name.. why should they expect to be treated with the respect on the way back?

OSU literally shits on Michigan as their tradition... now they lose and whine because Michigan gives them a punch back? Cry me a river, what bunch of powder puffs
