Wouldn't you love to be a fly on the wall at one of those Manhattan or Hollywood cocktail parties - where the shapers of our culture meet to commiserate? How thickheaded we ordinary Americans must seem to them! They tell us, a thousand times a day, how things "really" are. But we go right on - working, dreaming, loving, and being happy, instead of rolling on the floor with guilt and shame. What - they must wonder - do they have to do to get through to us?

Why haven't I heard this on the alphabet networks?
I guess it scares them. Anything short of socialism scares the hell out of them and offends them. Can you picture Dan Rather reporting that more kids are conservative now? He'd be burning up inside to say the least.

I come in contact with hundreds of young people because I officiate both softball and football as a hobby. Over many years I have seen that the overwhelming majority of kids are fine people. I am constantly amazed that some turn out as well as they do IN SPITE OF the rotten examples set for them by their parents.

Apparently there is a substantial number who failed to learn anything from the poor example of their elders. If they had, there would be no one in the Democratic party under the age of 55.

Good point musicman! I was watching the news last night and they were talking about how Hollywood just doesn't seem to connect with middle America. How they do not understand what the average person like me and you really want for our country. That's why putting them on a pedestal for you campaign(JK) is not a good idea. Most of us can't stand their horrible attitude,such as Whoopi Goldberg.'s

They just don't get us. We've watched the wretched Hollyweird excesses of Michael "Short-eyes" Jackson, Richard "Gerbil Boy" Gere, Courtney "Adore Me or I'll Throw Up on your Car" Love, Alec "Elect a Democrat or I'll Leave" Baldwin, and Ed "If You Don't Agree with Me You're Stupid" Asner, and we're just not finding it that cute anymore. I can't stand the sight of a lot of Hollwood anymore. They walk around calling most of us stupid(middle America that is).and then we are supposed to go see their movies. They are so pompass,they can't concieve of people not following them. I could care less if any of them were walking down my street right now. The media is too far up their ass too. The reason they don't report stuff like this is because they get so much ratings mileage out of shows about the few kids who do commit crimes in this country. The media is not about anything but making as much money as they can.

Money? Well of course they want to make money. But that's not what the media is "ALL" about. The media in America is so far left that their blatant liberalism is evident to even the most ignorant listener. And THAT is also what a lot of people are sick and tired of. Why else did Fox News EXPLODE when they first aired? Because people wanted to hear the truth, not liberal spin anymore. And that's why they REMAIN the number ONE source of news in America.

Why do you say this about Rather. This guy owns a ranch with Rumsfeld in the Southwest. I don't think he's much of a socialist.
