Oh man the libs want Eric Adams really bad.....lol

He got sideways with the Pedo Peter junta, like Menendez did....No bueno.
Menendez should be pardoned.... He's going to jail for doing nothing more than 80% of them down in DC do.

Adams took bribes. That's why he got indicted.

but when you have a felon president, a mayor who commits felonies just isn't a big deal if he's willing to do you a solid.
Yeah I did read up on the case. The legal deals are literally more abundant than the convictions.
I'm not defending Adams.... But the deal is part of the game....always was.

Naw, he should be the tip of the iceberg with many more convictions and incarcerations to follow. No one should be given a pass for selling out the country--from Biden and his crime family on down.

Except this isn't the kind of "Deal" you make in politics, it's personal enrichment from a foreign government.

This is treason in most definitions.

Adams took bribes.

You forgot that it’s a claim. An allegation. That does not mean it’s true, you shitbag.
That's why he got indicted.
No. He got indicted because SOME evidence was presented which make the claim official. But it’s still not proved, you ignorant shitbag.

What I'm saying is I don't understand the decision of the prosecutor to resign.
You have a job to do.... Right now your boss wants you to move along to the next case.
Why would you give up a career like that because of a disagreement over priorities?
I'm telling you it's just plain weird. Am I supposed to believe that it's a level of self-righteous indignation? Sorry I don't buy it.

If everyone's lucky maybe the state of New York will come up with some charges of their own apart from the federal court system?

Well I'm trying to figure out whether or not the retiring attorneys are really just righteous idealogues or wounded warriors.

They did their job.... They were told they no longer need to do it. What's the rationale for having a temper tantrum over the whole thing?
Just doesn't add up.
It sucks, but it is New York's problem. If they want to prosecute, they can on the state level, instead of letting the Feds and the rest of us foot the bill. It would be nice to have somebody else deal with your trash, but sometimes if you really want it done, you have to do it yourself.

I despise the idea and concept of sanctuary cities and think failure to support immigration policy, and especially going so far as to refuse to assist the removal of criminal aliens should be a criminal offense for some level of local or state government.

No fan of Trump, as you know, but this save Federal Tax Dollars, got a deal to have cooperation on immigration between New York City, at the same time, vacating the prosecution "without prejudice", meaning if the crooked Mayor does not comply, he is still open to Federal Prosecution. I am good with it, as the New York Mayor is not my problem in Tennessee.

Don't all politicians take illegal payouts?
Better to be a high-end prostitute, than a high-end politico in this country. With the prostitute, the public gets fked and a smile on their face, but at equal opportunity of the populace, not just the chosen few. Common prostitute is working for her money, where the high-end politico is just being paid to look the other way, while he gets rich fcking the taxpayers in his realm of influence, instead of faithfully doing his job, handling his responsibilities to his constituents.

You forgot that it’s a claim. An allegation. That does not mean it’s true, you shitbag.

And he would have every opportunity to prove it was false, if it was. He's not like some kid who got accused of knocking over a liquor store, he's the Mayor of New York.

No. He got indicted because SOME evidence was presented which make the claim official. But it’s still not proved, you ignorant shitbag.

Guy, you pretend people are innocent when juries find them guilty, like Felon47.

I think it's a matter of integrity. Any one of these lawyers can get a job with a white-shoe law firm making a lot more than they would make working for the government. But their careers would be more limited if they were remembered as "the Corrupt Prosecutor who let a corrupt mayor off the hook in a crooked deal."

I think Gov. Hochul should use her power to remove Adams. I doubt she'd get much pushback from the people of NYC.

I think the fact that his crimes involved bribery from foreign officials is what made this a Federal Issue. But, yes, the States are going to have to step up to the plate now that the Federal Government is collapsing into corrupt looting by the Billionaire class.

Except the people of NYC voted for sanctuary status, and our immigration laws are so broken that they should be resisted.

Blacks who flee the leftwing plantation or even cross the leftwing plantation owner's narrative are dealt with especially harshly.
It's just more irrefutable proof neither party is able to do their thing without being corrupt. It's in their DNA.

I don't think there's any question that Eric Adams is a typical New York politico complete with all of the unseemly stuff that goes along with it.

My focus on the situation is duplicity in behalf of politics. However, intrinsically speaking.... Is the guy dirty? Well yeah.....

I don't think that's the point here particularly.
I think the point is simply pragmatism.
Pragmatism is often the Port of choice in a legal battle.

Yeah party politics in particular is a fatally flawed beast that can probably never be reformed.

Adams is corrupt and that means nothing to Trump who pardoned him in return for allowing ICE raids
Maybe that's because Trump weighs having Adams walk, as less important than fulfilling his #1 job-duty >> protecting the American people.
This doesn't mean it "means nothing" to Trump.

Adams took bribes. That's why he got indicted.

Liberals are so lost. Pheeeew!

And he would have every opportunity to prove it was false, if it was.

Wouldn’t be on him to prove a single thing.

Someday, you abject imbecile, you should buy a clue as to how our justice system works.

There was no "pragmatism" involved.

Trump gave Adams a pass because Adams was willing to fly down to Mar-a-Lago and get on his knees.

It certainly doesn't help the people of New York to keep this guy in charge.

Okay, I realize you think that when you go to court, and they have a mountain of evidence against you, that you still have an advantage.

But not really.

If it's gotten to the point where you are at the table, you have to challenge the evidence, and Adams didn't have a challenge. They had him dead to rights, and he knew it.

How does keeping a corrupt mayor in office protect us?

Seems to me now that he knows he's going down anyway (He's polling at 10% in the Dem primary) he has an incentive to steal as much as he can on the way out.

Why?.... It all started when he complained about the immigration crushing New York City's budget.

Or at least that's when it became more well-known. Seems like Eric took a little money here and there that he shouldn't have just like everybody else in New York City and everybody else in New York state. But for some reason Eric got singled out.

Several DOJ prosecutors have resigned saving Trump the trouble of laying them off. Now this is a pretty simple equation. Your boss tells you you're not pursuing the case anymore....
You see it as being wrong but it's not your call.
The new DOJ might be cutting a deal that has benefits for more people than you can see.
You feel like they're abandoning all your hard work so you walk.

Seems to That leftovers from the Garland DOJ are a little bit too focused on GETTING THE GUY and not so focused on who the new boss is.

Why do they want him so bad? Why would you give up your job because of it? These kinds of deals are pretty common especially if there's something in it for the prosecution.
Those are not libs that resigned, they are staunch Conservative Prosecutors, who clerked for Scalia and Roberts and Kavanaugh, and members of the Federalist Society, who began their investigation on Adams long long before Texas shipped the border crossers to NYC.

What Doj did is highly unethical and amounts to a quid pro quo.

If Trump wanted Adams help he should have simply used his own power to pardon him, instead of corrupting the DOJ. Period!
