They are very, very limited.

Legal experts say there are few options to force compliance with its pronouncements. Judges could hold an agency or official in civil or criminal contempt – but that’s about it.

But even that is very unlikely because of this tactic by Trump:

“Well, I always abide by the courts, and then I’ll have to appeal it – but then what he’s done is he’s slowed down the momentum, and it gives crooked people more time to cover up the books,” Trump said. “So yeah, the answer is I always abide by the courts, always abide by them. And we’ll appeal, but appeals take a long time.”

By announcing his intention to abide by court orders, it makes it very difficult for anyone to prove that he is deliberately violating them. He just has to keep saying that "I always abide by the courts," with a straight face.

If that tactic seems familiar, it is. It was used over and over by Biden administration witness called by Congress to avoid admitting that they were not complying with congressional requests and subpoenas. A Republican would say, "Why haven't you provided the documents that I've been asking for for over a year?" The Democrat Bureaucrat would would say, "I strive to be responsive to all congressional requests and that one is no exception. My staff is working on providing a response to that request."

Now, we have the sad spectacle of judges ordering Trump to spend money, and only a few days later complaining publicly that he is not complying. Do they not realize how weak and insignificant that makes them look?

One thing you learn fast as a teacher is to never tell a child, "You're gonna do what I tell you to do," unless you are absolutely sure you can force that child to comply. Which of course you never can be sure of. So, you don't say it, if you're smart.

Give the directive, and if not followed, give the consequence. Don't complain about your plight to the student's peers, they'll just laugh at you.

What Trump will do to these hate-filled judges now is what a child does when you tell him "pick up your pencil and start the assignment, right now!" The kid then picks up his pencil in slow motion, touches it to the paper and pretends to read the first question for the rest of the class.

These must be gay or lesbian judges who never raised a kid from infancy. Parents learn the above if they do not keep a wooden spoon or hairbrush handy.

DISOBEDIENT! He's the PRESIDENT. What should be done about disobedient and disloyal underlings?

Exactly my point by using that word.

The left is used to the ultimate obedient president who was literally led onto and off of the stage for his make-believe events.

Yeah, he's playing by the REAL rules of the game, but he needs somebody like me to do what NEEDS to be done.
So he don't have to, and I get to have fun.

Has he been disobedient to the courts this term?

For over half my life I can remember politicians both republican and democrat promise to cut waste and fraud... and we are 37 Trillion in debt... the interest on that debt. is killing us... finally someone is doing something and he has his own rocket scientist to help him... Any Judge who halts their progress is part of the problem and why we are 37 trillion in debt...

Biden broke the courts powers. I'm just the messenger. He opened the door for Trump to take charge,

Sure are a lot of members of the Judicial Branch who think they have authority over the Executive Branch when the Executive hasn't broken any laws or overstepped his authority.

Constitutionally...all they can do to a president...is IMPEACH.

And that's not the courts or the judge...that's the house.

That second amendment that right wingers are so fond of is, by their own suggestion, an answer to our dilemma.

The border is secure.

Inflation is transitory.
Funny how it wasn't when Joe Biden was president.

If republicans didn't have double standards they would have no standards at all.

Your side already tried that. Multiple times, remember?

You're literally the gang that couldn't shoot straight.

Some judges, Democrat politicians (redundant phrases), and media talking heads believe he has.
Even at my age, I have time to wait and see. PJ just came into the library to have the same discussion. I refuse to get worked up by the Media over Trump legalities, yet to come, until they come. The talking heads on what were once thought of as news networks and very good at supporting their owner political position, much better at that, then simply reporting the news. Things the courts have blocked temporarily are just that, temporary blocks, while evaluation and legal arguments made. So far, I still have seen no evidence of President Trump defying the courts (the only balance of power left in the county), and will not be persuaded to outrage (even though I don't like the guy and some of his methods) until I see him actually defy the courts, by ignoring the rulings, in favor of governance without legal oversight. Presidents do all sorts of things unpopular with the majority of the population, but that does not prove anything. Unpopular is not the same as illegal. Illegal is for the courts to decide, according to our laws, not the talking heads. It is an influence game by both sides of the political spectrum, for public opinion. I reserve mine, until the courts have ruled on the appeals, if there are any. So far, I have not seen the administration push any appeals, nor seen it ignore court rulings. I have time to get all outraged later.
