Oh How I HATE The Wealthy.

I'm retired too. But I have three jobs. (Call them side gigs if you want, the point is they bring in income). Between the three, it's enough to pay a mortgage on one house, rent on another, and put two kids through college. My situation is not unique. Yours isn't either. Unless you're in the first year of SS you can make as much money as you want. Be clever, look for a gig. I just turned down 240k a year because I make more doing what I'm doing. I'm a scientist, I own a business, and I'm a music producer. Business is great, there's more work than I can handle. Yes, it pisses me off to see old people rummaging through trash cans before the first of the month. I don't have to be one of them. Neither do you.

I have been on Social Security for about 20 years. Why? Because I am disabled. (Don't dare to try digging into my personal affairs and ask me why) Seeing how it seems to be the type of person you are, it is probably tearing at your gut to call me a freeloader. So go ahead. Let it out. Your opinion means less than nothing to me.

But just to let you know what kind of person I am that Trump wants to go hungry and cut medical assistance to, I will say this. In the time that I have been on Social Security, I have written 4 books. Don't ask me what they are. That would be revealing too much about myself.. I never made any money off them. But with 4 million books being written in the U.S. each year, (Including self published ones) that is no surprise. Also, in that time, as a sort of hobby, I have been working on various inventions. In that time, I have learned one thing. What I am trying to do isn't impossible. Should I ever succeed, I will have more money than everybody at every forum combined has. And should that happen, you will find out who I am. Because when you hear on the news of somebody throwing large amounts of cash from the top of a building, that will be me.

You prefer the Stupid and Gullible to be in charge .

What a brilliant recipe for disaster .

The Debt system is only producing ca 0.3% homeless , if you assume all homeless are adults -- which is clearly not the full case ,
Any system with a 99.7%success rating is a miracle .

All that is needed is to find some good use for the human 0.3% flotsam -- like compost, fertiliser or organ harvesting .

HOLY SHITTTTTT!!!!!! The stupid and gullible ARE in charge! And one of the main driving factors keeping them that way is greed. Because through both corruption and greed, you can "justify" just about anything. It is a story often told throughout human history. Also, if you want to know a little something about poverty, give this website a try.

If you want to know a little more about poverty, this person had some extremely good points to make about the condition.

SSDI is about 4000 a month last I checked.

So you're not so bad off after all.

Just as I thought.

It's okay though, I'm just sorry you're so full of blame and hate.

You need a side gig. Life coach for the disabled? :p

It sounds like the same discussion to me. Neither are billionaires the only ones to blame. Any wealthy person is. Next, our health care system is based on science. In that, it isn't a failure. As for it being ridiculously expensive, I don't know about that. According to Trump, everything is ridiculously expensive. That's why he created DOGE. Because he thinks the cause is inefficiency. But he is wrong. And what he is doing with his tariffs are only going to make things more expensive. Also, consider things like this when it comes to the cost of health care. There is a pharmaceutical company out there that makes a drug called Acthar. It has been around for decades and is used to treat a rare condition. The company that made it raised the price of it by 100,000%! (At least in the U.S.)

You do make a good point with moving manufacturing off shore. For example, the average cost to make a pair of Nike tennis shoes overseas is $18 dollars. To buy them in the U.S. costs around $121 dollars. Seems to me that Nike is making a shitload of profit. It is probably pretty much the same for any product made overseas. Yet Trump is trying to get tax breaks for all those assholes.
Why haven't you bought any of the Amazon, asshole -

That's the max, the average is less than $1600.

That's why he hates the wealthy, he failed financially in life.
Not being wealthy doesn’t make one a failure financially. Many people live independently and happily on modest incomes

I could make boatloads more money since overtime is abundant in my field, but I work to live and don’t live to work

So unlike Highlight, you're not jealous of the wealthy. That's Highlights problem, jealousy, which is coupled with failure of not being in that position that he's jealous of. I'm comfortable, and I'm not jealous of those that have earned more, but some others like Highlight can't handle it.
