Debt...the easy answer for the student debt is NOT going to the indoctrination centers called college....most degrees are useless especially ones in economics from Harvard!
Okay, buddy, you try getting a good paying job these days without a college degree. No, truly, give it a try.
Now, I take my profession, which was purchasing before I started my consulting business. 25 years ago, when I first got into it, after getting out of the Army, you didn't need a college degree to get a job in a purchasing department. (I had one, which is the whole reason I joined the Army to start with).
When the last recession hit, there were two buyers who got let go the same time I did that had more experience than I did in Purchasing.... but they had a much harder time finding new gigs. because most of the jobs required a college degree.
Pretty much the Applicant Tracking Software kicked out their resumes before a human being even read them.
Last company I was with decided to up the ante by requiring not just a bachelor's degree, but a bachelors in Business or related field.
Now, I consider myself lucky. I got out of college with no college debt, again, thanks to the Army, and being a veteran gives me a huge advantage when being considered for jobs.
But if you are some kind who gets out of college to get an entry-level job with 50K in student debt and you have to eat Ramen noodles, you can probably see why Socialism doesn't seem all that evil to you.
