Obamacare bending the cost curve upward

I am sory to say this , but I think Obamacare by itself will not solve the healthcare cost problems that started long ago.

The greed cycle that started some 40 years ago between the insurance companies and the hospital has made American healthcare not the most efficent but the most expensive healthcare in the whole world.

The only state that has been spared from this lunacy is Maryland.

Health care costs: How Maryland keeps its costs down | The Economist

Now right wingers might be against any government regulation because it stalls free market or some such nonsense. But the cold hard true is that there is no competition in the healthcare market , because insurance companies act as a buffer.

Maryland is doing the right thing. I expect the rest of the States open their eyes and follow its lead before it's too late.

Most of the higher costs associated with US healthcare is that you can actually see a doctor in a reasonable amount of time. The VA for example is one of the best single payer systems in the world.
