I almost lost it when I saw this clip. Really? Obama wants to know how we became so divided?

The same Obama and Hillary who characterized the people as a basket of deplorables? Who described small town America as bitter, clinging to gun and religion with antipathy against immigrants and people who aren't like them? Who said: "If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, 'We're gonna punish our enemies, and we're gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us . . .' Who said "We don't mind the Republicans joining us. They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back."

The same Obama who called all opponents of same-sex marriage 'bigots.' Who called the pro life movement "a war on women." Who called all who wanted a secure border 'racist'. Who called the GOP 'the enemy of Hispanics.'

By the end of 2016 and after eight years of America having its first 'black President", ". . .Race relations have deteriorated to an unenviable place. In a July 2016 poll, nearly 70 percent of Americans agreed that race relations are generally bad – a level unseen since the 1992 Rodney King riots. . ." Barack Obama: The Great Divider

How did we become so divided Obama asks? He (and a number of others) only need to look in the mirror for the answer.

He gave Black Lives Matter the Presidential endorsement and provided the fuel with The Cambridge Police incident, Trayvon, Michael Brown, The Ferguson Riots etc. His diligent work in fueling Black animus toward Police and White people culminated with the George Floyd riots. Obama created racial division we haven't seen since the 60s.

The Obama legacy was a sluggish economy, slowest economic recovery from recession since the Great Depression, and more than 90% of new jobs in his administration were part time or temporary with few or no benefits. He seriously damaged and made less efficient the best health care system in the world and greatly escalated healthcare costs for most Americans. And the most divisive Presidency in my lifetime at least until the current one.

The country was united after 9/11 until GW Bush and the neocons came up with bright idea of pushing for Islamic Republics and initiating the war with Iraq. Then there were those that couldn't handle us having a black president and we went through the whole birther thing. This was then followed by those with their own adverse reaction to Trump.

As for Obama, I never voted for him, but his 1st term wasn't so bad in handling the recovering from the great recession. In all my years of voting, I never trusted giving any president a second term, that was certainly the case with Obama. Felt he didn't ease up enough on the economic recovery and we had too much spending with interest rates still ridiculously low. Then there was his emphasis on social change to accommodate a lifestyle I cannot relate to.
