Obama wants to know how the country became so divided

The divisiveness in this country IS because of Obama.

Not for anything he has said.

But rather because he had the audacity to be black and the President

Don't forget the creation of Fox News/Faux News and Rush Limbaugh/hate Radio.....
Anyone who considered Rush Limbaugh 'hate radio' never listened to Rush. It was anything but. Nor was it divisive. Nobody was forced to listen to him or agree with him.

What he did do is give those on the right a voice that was pretty much lacking in the media by the time Rush was syndicated. The media had not yet declared all out sociopolitical war on the right as it does now, but it had been taken over by enough of the left that nobody was expressing the values and principles of those of us on the right. Rush did.

And it was a overwhelmingly appreciated and well received pushing pretty much every one of the hundreds of stations that carried Rush to #1 in their market share. Finally somebody was expressing what we were seeing, what we were feeling, what we cared about, what we worried about, what we wanted, what we hoped for, what concerned us, what scared us. Ditto Fox News. In a huge sea of leftist point of view on television, Fox News finally represented us on the right, what we thought, how we saw things.

Unity is a bad thing when most people hate it because it doesn't represent them, when you know what you're being told isn't quite right, when you're getting mostly one side of a story.

Thinking people know that diversity of opinion, thought, hope, dreams, vision, understanding is not 'hate speech.' It is the only way there can be free speech and liberty.

Yep.
They couldn't take Trump out with the phony Russia Russia Russia narrative.
They couldn't take Trump out with the phony Ukrainian collusion narrative.
They couldn't take Trump out with the phony sex narrative.
They couldn't take Trump out with a phony racism narrative.
They couldn't take Trump out with a phony insurrection narrative.
They couldn't take Trump out with a phony document theft narrative
They couldn't take Trump out with all manner of phony business crimes
They were even perhaps unsuccessful in having him killed. (It would be interesting to see if their is any deep state collusion with Iran though we probably will never know for sure about that.)

So now it's a phony Fascist/Nazi/Hitler narrative. They even relate his rally at Madison Square Garden tomorrow as a repeat of a 1939 Nazi rally at MSG.

The people doing this have no morals, no ethics, no integrity, no principles. They will do anything to anybody to achieve and keep power and the massive wealth that comes with it.

And Obama wonders why we are so divided? I think it was his and others' game plan from the beginning.

I almost lost it when I saw this clip. Really? Obama wants to know how we became so divided?

The same Obama and Hillary who characterized the people as a basket of deplorables? Who described small town America as bitter, clinging to gun and religion with antipathy against immigrants and people who aren't like them? Who said: "If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, 'We're gonna punish our enemies, and we're gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us . . .' Who said "We don't mind the Republicans joining us. They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back."

The same Obama who called all opponents of same-sex marriage 'bigots.' Who called the pro life movement "a war on women." Who called all who wanted a secure border 'racist'. Who called the GOP 'the enemy of Hispanics.'

By the end of 2016 and after eight years of America having its first 'black President", ". . .Race relations have deteriorated to an unenviable place. In a July 2016 poll, nearly 70 percent of Americans agreed that race relations are generally bad – a level unseen since the 1992 Rodney King riots. . ." Barack Obama: The Great Divider

How did we become so divided Obama asks? He (and a number of others) only need to look in the mirror for the answer.

Easy.

You guys never got over having a black President

Let's not forget - that black teenager beating the Latino man's head into a pulp could have been his son.

I think the fact that you weigh 50% more than me is confusing you.
Sorry, I don’t weigh 800 pounds.

Bad attempt at a joke on your part.

You guys…You’ve never gotten over having a black president…and you never will. The racist MSG rally tonight proves it.

It actually began here. Newt and his "Revolution" was the beginning of the breakdown of civil discourse. But even Newt, for all his philandering and incompetence couldn't bring the country to where Trump has.
It wasn't Newt. It ws the pathetic decades long temper tantrum the left has been throwing since Newt and the GOP won the House for the first time in 40 years.

That temper tantrum continues to this day. It is the highlight of divisiveness in America.

It absolutely was Newt Gingrich. Newt figured out that if you break the country enough, you can control it.

Congress used to actually function.

He didn't break the country. The left did.

Newt just brought to the House, a vision of a balanced budget and responsible, smaller government.

All the things that the children of the left could not tolerate if they wanted to continue to drive the United States to a Marxist utopia.

He changed politics into a bloodsport, zero sum game.

Republicans know they can obstruct government and blame the left for not getting anything done.

He did not. He ran on, and won, based upon responsible, smaller government, that was fiscally responsible and balanced.

What he didn't know at that time was that the Demorats were actually a crime family.

Still, despite the divisions sewn by the left, he managed to get Clinton to balance a budget (though that a generous terem since we still had debt) and actually slow the growth of government.

Far too little in the estimates of those who actually love freedom and liberty. But it was was a start.
