She definitely should resign. She has committed academic transgressions that would bring about severe penalties - even expulsion - to her students, had they done the same.

Also, the refusal of the Board to demand her removal - instead giving her a chance to “correct” the many, MANY plagiarized sections - gives the correct impression that Harvard is more interested in promoting and keeping blacks in high positions than they are in academic merit and integrity.

Were Harvard to oust her, they would effectively be saying “while we of course support giving prestigious opportunities to blacks, at the same time we demand the same standards of conduct from them as we do whites - as we treat people of different races EQUALLY.”
