Obama promises Union workers "special" deal on taxing their cadillac plans.

On Tuesday--12 major labor unions met with Obama & basically threatened him--if he signed a bill that would tax their workers cadillac health care plans.

On Wednesday--this is what Obama did:
Obama began meeting with twelve top Democrats at 9 p.m., Wednesday and the meeting has no scheduled end time. This comes after most of the same lawmakers spent more than eight hours at the White House on Wednesday trying to hammer out a deal.

The breakthrough announced Thursday was a biproduct of the previous days talks: a deal on so-called "Cadillac" insurance plans. The White House and top union leaders heralded the agreement, which shields all union workers for five years from significant taxes on health benefit packages that non-union workers will face starting in 2013.

On Tuesday, Obama told union leaders who came to the White House to express their opposition to the excise taxes that they would not deter him and they must accept the tax in some form. Under those conditions, union leaders sought various exemptions, even though some in their membership adamantly opposed any tax on health benefits.

Republican critics called the union deal another back-room favor handed out in secret talks that violated Obama's promise of transparency.

Can this administration get any more corrupt than this-- I don't think so. Anything democrats can do to keep that huge voting block called labor unions & screw the rest of you non-union workers-(in fact 31 million of you)-who will be required to pay tax on the health benefits your employer pays for--2 years before a union worker will be required to pay for it--LOL

First, the Louisianna Purchase, the Corn Husker kick back, the great deal in Florida where by seniors who live in THAT state get to keep their Medicare advantage programs while seniors in all other 49 states lose theirs.

Something about we would be able to see on C Span who was making all the sweetheart deals in Congress with the special interest groups... I can't wait to see how many special deals are going to come out on this, of course, no one knows because it's Pelosi, Reid and Obama writing this monstrocity of a train wreck as though they had any knowledge of the health care system in the first place.

But, if this gets out of the weekend on the Sunday talk shows, it's going to be a very bad day for democrats who are pushing this. Fist the Louisanna purchase, then the corn husker kickback, the special deal made to seniors ONLY in the state of Florida. Now the Unions, what's next?

This may backfire. If you think that the Nebraska deal was unpopular, just wait until the administration announces higher taxes on everyone but its friends in the labor movement. We may see if the popularity of the health care bill still has room to fall.
