We hear complaints about a lack of bipartisanship in Washington DC. Actually, there is plenty of bipartisanship going on. Bipartisanship in Washington means that Democrats and Republicans come together to vote down the Obama agenda, from budget proposals to the latest gun control bill. I guess that this is "politically incorrect" bipartisanship, or the kind that the media never talks about.

On Wednesday, President Obama came out swinging and called it a "shameful day". It was a bitter loss, according to pundits. He was reacting to the US Senate failing to pass the latest of the gun control bills.

President Obama's reaction was a pitiful performance or the actions of a man who doesn't get the political reality around him. He is also a man who does not respect those who disagree with him.

President Obama should get over himself and look at some realities:

1) ObamaCare is "a train wreck", according to Sen Baucus. Even the roofers union is now calling for its repeal. Senate Democrats are staring at a red-state electorate that will not buy the idea that legislators voted for something that will raise their taxes. Furthermore, why would a Senate Democrat running for reelection sign on to a gun law approved by the editorial board of The NY Times but rejected by people living in the real world?

The defeat of the gun control bill is another example of Obama's lack of leadership skills. I have never seen anyone in a position of leadership who so profoundly sucks at it.

This guy had momentum out the wazoo to get his gun control dreams passed. He could not have asked for a more perfect storm to get what he wanted.

Amazing. What a complete stumblefuck this guy is.

when you have a party willing to thwart what 90% of the American people want then you have a bought party.

the republican party just proved they are for sell.

Hell enough money and they will try to kill our govenment.

Oh wait they already sign the pledges of Grover Norquist

The one thing the republicans will be willing to spend on will be a bath tub big enough to drown our government dead in

This wasn't an example of obama's lack of leadership skills. A true leader picks his battles better. obama has decided not lead, but dictate according to his own whims and desires. Whims and desires that are in total opposition to what the people want. In true dictatorial fashion, he has promised to punish those democrats who followed the direction of their constituents rather than what he told them to do.

you people looked like complete foiols with yout lies.

that never stopps you from just lying all over the place the next day.

Your credibility is gone folks

yes -- he got his ass kicked on this -- no 2 ways about it .

as for punishing those who went against him -- well, good luck; support of gun control has never been a motivating voting issue and this wont be either. and the fact is the word around here in dc is that despite the rhetoric - thats just for the base -- they are already want to move away from this and on to immigration which they dont want made tougher to get through as a result of this. i think a lot of immigration reform opponents are going to be very encouraged by this and more inclined to fight it .
