This straw purchase law lets the government define, at the whim of bureaucratic enforcers, who participates in private transfers.
So far it hasn’t been particularly unreasonably enforced. Under a Kamala Harris, nothing stops a rule keeping me from buying my son a weapon for his birthday.
Like red flag laws this thing is a wide open door waiting for the ATF to walk through.
Any and all powers the government takes for itself will be abused.

A man makes a purchase and chooses to sell it in a secondary market. Any complaint against it is worthy of the disdain and ridicule that should be aimed at any gun grabbing mouth breather.

For once I agree with you. Your gun laws are useless and flouted at every turn. What's the point of prosecuting the guy for doing what every other private seller does???

The shooter could have gone to a gun show and made his purchase there. There is no effective way of keeping criminals or terrorists from getting guns. There are just too many of them.
