Obama's approval rating takes most negative downtrend yet.

The presidential approval index has fallen to +6 - by far the lowest of his early presidency.

With growing concerns over the Obama administration's disjointed handling of the economy by such media outlets as Bloomberg, New York Times, Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, Weekly Standard, Newsweek, etc., Obama is facing a rising tide of collective agitation.

Add to that the appalling lack of class Obama showed in his handling of the visit by British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, and you see Obama being criticized by normally liberal leaning columnists such as Maureen Dowd taking aim at this emperor with no clothes.

I thought so going in too, but the more we see from Obama, the more likely he will only be a one term President. Granted, were times easier, every move he makes wouldn't be judged so thoroughly. But the fact is, we are seeing that Obama really is in over his head. To top that off, his political appointments have been nothing short of a disaster, and with Rom Emmanuel leading the way, it won't be long until this partisan ship begins sinking.

Well said Auditor - with the appointment disasters, the very odd need for a 24/7 teleprompter, the big $$$$ private White House parties, the appalling snub of Gordon Brown, the HUGE pork bill, the non-stimulus stimulus, the disjointed communications, even the press reports that Obama is losing sleep because he has been "overwhelmed" with the amount of work coming across his desk.
