Bush's pitch was well over the strike; the announcer called it a"strike" meaning it was within the strike zone. ....
As for Obama, he clearly "skipped" it::
"It's hard to tell who got a bigger kick out of it: Obama, Pujols or the 46,000 fans who packed Busch Stadium.
Wearing the jacket of his beloved Chicago White Sox, the president used a big windup but almost bounced the pitch in front of his catcher.
The video clearly shows a bounce about a foot or two in front of the plate.
Explaining his wardrobe, the president said, "Everybody knows I'm a White Sox fan, and my wife thinks I look
cute in this jacket."
So the president comes wearing a Chicago White Sox jacket!
That was a smoke screen; any BOOs can be discounted as being aimed at his jacket instead of the president himself. And some people who were in the statium said the boos where equal to the hurahs. His jacket was aimed more to cover that up than any claim to loyalty to the White Sox.
