How was it silly? The Trump administration is refusing to release the Epstein files, where Epstein was a known pedophile and child sex trafficker. They have the files, which contains extensive evidence of child rape and child sex trafficking commited Epstein and others.

And they are refusing to release that evidence to protect Trump. With Trump's story changing almost daily, ripe with gaslighting, lies, and desperate attempts to distract. This entire thread is about one such attempt to distract.

Honestly, the Epstein files weren't really on my radar. But the amount of political capital that the Trump administration is willing to expend to keep them from being released is astonishing.

Now I want to know what is worth so much to Trump that he's willing to take this kind of political damage. No one is happy with the way he's handling this. He's farther underwater on his approval rating than any president in US polling history save himself. And its only getting worse.

I can only conclude that what the Trump administration is hiding in the Epstein files must be more damaging to Trump than what Trump has sustained so far. So what the **** is it?

Well, no, the legal doctrine of soveign immunity predates Trump by centuries. We just never had to litigated it for a President until the Demafascist weaponized their office to go after a political rival.

At this point, what difference does it make?

No, the only thing that matters to Obama anymore is his legacy, and he is young enough to have a good long look at it being shredded and tossed in the garbage (assuming he did this, and we want to see the evidence). Legacy is all that matters to a president after they leave office so legal prosecution doesn't mean much to him because he's a multi-millionaire who will never see the inside of a jail cell (which is what I said about TRUMP! when his persecution started). At worst, he'd only get a slap on the wrist fine that his handlers would pay for him like Bubba did, followed by an uninterrupted stream of lucrative speeches.
