Obama: Appoint Judge Jeffery Sutton of the 6th District: Ginsburg Should Approve

Should Ginsburg urge Obama to honor the Late Justice Scalia's wish to replace himself with himself?

  • Yes, absolutely. It's the right thing to do to honor Scalia & for the High Court's balance.

  • No, she should urge Obama to nominate a more liberal judge reflecting "change".

Results are only viewable after voting.
If Obama was a fair and reasonable president, he would admit that his close personal relationship with the farthest left Justice Ginsburg would at least mean he should honor her good friend Justice Scalia's wishes that an originalist Justice should be appointed to take his place:

Ginsburg would want to have Obama honor her dearly departed friend's intense preference to be replaced by a Justice who had his same views. An excellent interview to understand this man's dying wishes would be here:

It's my understanding that Judge Jeffrey Sutton of the 6th District US federal court of appeals holds very close views to Justice Scalia. Obama should honor the newly-deceased man's wishes and the wishes undoubtedly of Scalia's good friend: Justice Ginsburg.

I'd like to see an interview with Ginsburg pressing her on this exact point. Will she urge her friend Obama to nominate Sutton or his true replica? Or will she turn on her dead friend and gush over Obama's wish to strip our country of the political balance necessary for its longevity?

Jeffrey S. Sutton. Jeffrey S. Sutton sits on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Judge Sutton was a partner with the law firm of Jones Day Reavis & Pogue in Columbus, Ohio, and served as State Solicitor of the State of Ohio. He also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Lewis F. Powell, Jr. (Ret.), the Honorable Antonin Scalia and the Honorable Thomas J. Meskill... Hon. Jeffrey S. Sutton

In the Sixth Circuit, it was a George W. Bush–appointed disciple of Justice Scalia... Sutton is not just a former law clerk to Justice Antonin Scalia, an appointee of President George W. Bush and an active member of the Federalist Society. Until his nomination to the Sixth Circuit, he was the leading advocate before the Supreme Court on states’ rights. Hillary promised Obama an appointment to SCOTUS if he would stop the FBI investigation on her.

OMG!!!

Now there's an opening!!!

How convenient.

c'mon...you're gonna give people nightmares..can you imagine "Chief Justice Obama"? The guy doesn't even have the first inkling of the Constitution, though he calls himself a Constitutional law expert. I wonder with his "brilliance" on the Constitution, why he approved a rainbow light show for the Whitehouse front, a few days before Obergefell was announced? To show his reverence for the separation of powers behind the scenes?

How did President Obama know days before we all did how Obergefell would come down?

Just hours after the decision...so much for separation of powers...People, your republic is in trouble if Obama comes within a country mile of becoming a Justice..This is almost as bad as a Justice performing a gay wedding while Obergefell was pending...oh...wait...two of them did that already...

I think this was the May 2015 "gay wedding" Ginsburg presided over...Obergefell released June 2015.. I think she did like 3 more while the question was making its way up through the circuits too.. America, there's a problem...

A reasonable person wouldn't just suspect bias (Caperton v A.T. Massey Coal 2009). Ginsburg was shoving it right up in the entire world's collective face and daring them to stop her. No wonder Scalia had sudden death. Can you imagine his being close to Ginsburg and having to wrestle with his close feelings for her while his inner conservative integrity was squirming with anguish over her abuse of the decorum and reserve of a Justice? Not to mention that he knew she and Kagan should've stepped down on Obergefell..? That broiling beneath the surface was likely more stress than his old body could take.
