For instance, what point in banning female to male trans-genders from playing on men's teams? Which would seem to me to be a consequence of a categorical ban. Whereas I can quite see the point in banning/regulating players who went through puberty as a male from competing in women's rugby teams.

Nope. Simplest, easiest, most predictable and fairest is for biologic girls to compete with biologic girls, real women with real women. No guys or fake females on the field or in the locker room. Let them form their own tranny league. I support categorical bans. Trump got this one right.

Is it something in the water you folks drink? Males should play in male sports. Females should play in female sports. If some confused, perverted 20-year-old young man decides he "feels more like a woman," that doesn't mean he should be allowed to play on his college's women's volleyball team.

As I've said many times, woke liberals have overreached and badly miscalculated. The propaganda games they used to normalize homosexuality and same-sex marriage just are not working when it comes to transgenders in female sports.

Well it's good to see that..... That's pretty much what I found in my circle of friends so I have found it hard to understand what the hell they were talking about here when they said that most of the country approves of it. I seriously doubt that that's the case. But I don't understand is how the ruling class managed to separate themselves so far from the constituency but they no longer represent any of the core values that are on main Street.
