1. Well it looks like NYC, has fallen, and can't get up.
2. Like an old person they are infirm, worn out, to a frazzle.
3. Next to being dead, and buried.

5. I cut NYC off from America, you are a cast away, cut lose, cut off, maybe we need to destroy you, by implosion, there really is no need to try to save it, its run its course, time to cut its throat and allow it to bleed out.
