The National Rifle Association has demanded immediate curbs on firearms after police shot several white people in Oregon.

Describing the incident as shocking, the organisation demanded that officers be disarmed immediately to prevent a re-occurrence of the unfolding tragedy.

“If the cops had stuck to their jobs and just shot fleeing unarmed black guys in the back, that would have been fine,” insisted NRA spokesman Simon-Bob Williams.
