No stick to the mace and escapeI carry mace. That’s actually a better option for me.
Also, what about these lasers they sell in Amazon? Do they really work?

All I need is a few seconds to have the thug temporarily disabled while I get away.No stick to the mace and escape
I was being facetious, parroting that talking point of IM2 who constantly cites ancient history as the reason blacks can't get ahead. Blacks need "black capital formation" in the form of savings and investments. Sadly, blacks don't trust other blacks with their money, so it's a non-starter.Why not? They’ve been given an advantage in getting into college, and they can then eventually move on to home ownership just the same as everyone else.
It’s been 50 years - two generations.
My point is if Jews can arrive here from a foreign country, escaping violent antisemitism, without a penny to their names, and not even speaking English, and within one generation move from a cold-water tenement to the middle class, then so can blacks.
And most have.
The lasting damage from redlining is that many of those neighborhoods have fallen into disrepair. Many owners' simply abandoned them as worthless. So, redlining hurt both blacks and those who owned those properties.Except it has never ended. That's the problem. Stop pretending that a signed piece of paper changed behavior automatically.
I have an IQ of 135, but I have done dumb things for most of my life.Except that if you look at the average IQs of various college majors, ones like engineering and physics that require intelligence have IQs over 130…..and easier majors like education and sociology have IQs around 105 or so.
Hey…that reminds me, YOU were a sociology major, weren’t you?![]()
There are always exceptions.I have an IQ of 135, but I have done dumb things for most of my life.My grown son is much smarter than me, but his life is a mess. So much for "IQ".
Emotions determine how intelligence is applied. There are always exceptions.
But I guarantee you that someone with an IQ of 105 - like the average sociology major - could never complete a grad degree in engineering.
As for myself, I also have a high IQ (can’t you tell?), and I too have made some poor decisions in my life, as well as great ones. But I sure didn’t come out of high school and give no thought to my future earnings potential - and just decided to wing it. I took responsibility for my life.
