November 2013 Jobs Numbers

Yes, I'm sure the rates did decline. That happens when people vanish from staistical formula.

How many more people were deemed "drop outs" this go around?
And, proving the point that cons want the numbers to be bad, here is Step........

You couldn't prove water is wet, Dick Slaps.
Spoken like a 9 year old As usual.

I proved nothing, me boy. You did. You proved my point, for which I thank you.

Relative to your opinion of me, that would be exactly that. Your opinion. And you know how much I value your opinion. (Pretty much the same as any thinking person would value your opinion).

Firms add 215,000 jobs in Nov., beat estimates

Businesses added 215,000 jobs in November, payroll processor ADP said Wednesday, fueling hopes that the government's closely watched employment report this week will continue a recent string of solid gains.

The ADP survey, along with decent-to-strong reports on the broader economy and home sales, painted a portrait of an economy that's largely shrugging off the effects of the government shutdown and ongoing budget battles in Congress,

The increase in private payrolls was the most in a year and soundly beat economists' consensus forecast that 165,000 jobs were added. Economists anticipate that the Labor Department on Friday will report about 180,000 employment gains in its survey, which tallies net additions among businesses as well as federal, state and local governments.

Good news!

Yea the faux job numbers show Bozo's economy is spectular!!! Doesn't matter that they counted all the Fed workers coming back from a temp DEMOCRATIC government shut down as new jobs for the report. Doesn't matter that the labor participation rate remains at 40 year low (and only went up 0.3% during the holiday rush). Doesn't matter than over 75% of the job created during the Obamination Presidency have been PART-TIME LOW PAYING NO BENEFIT jobs.

None of this matters to the uninformed Obama supports. They only care a fake, easy manipulated number went down. Heck they did it in Nov 2012 right before the election, so what is not to say they don't do it from every month here out?

I'm always amazed at how people would rather bitch and moan than look up the figures. The raw numbers for November show that the civilian non-institutional population increased by 186,000 while the total number of employed persons increased by 631,000 persons. Ergo the number of persons not in the labor force or unemployed had to go down. QED

Any bets on what those who view any and all news thru a political lens will answer with first? The usual candidates would be:

1. It is just temporary seasonal holiday work
2. We need to create 300k jobs to keep up with population
3. We lost 300k though so net negative
4. They are all part time or low wage
5. Obama ordered the numbers fudged

Did I miss any?

The numbers always increase this time of year then drop off again by Feb due to seasonal workers, do they not? And those workers are figured into the broader numbers, are they not? In the end those particular numbers are a wash.
The unemployment numbers are SEASONALLY ADJUSTED. The unadjusted unemployment rate is 6.6%

You missed one.

6. Mitt, as President, would have seen 500,000 jobs added.
(of course they would have been in China....LOL)

Good News for some but bad news for others. New jobs should be seen as good news by everyone.

The furloughed workers were still counted as employed in the non farm payroll survey. So no, new jobs does not include returning fed workers
