How do you know this? If the states take over those useless functions, won't that help? Not any more. Now you get nothing.

Florida does. The other states will also when they get the money which FEMA is currently sucking from!States do not have the resources at the ready
FEMA comes in with resources and funding where it is needed
Is your state going to give up their emergency funds to a state that needs them?
That will cover 2 nights in a cheap hotel/motel and meals at fast food establishments, and maybe not all of that. What happens on the 3rd day?No, FEMA provides a $700 check immediately to cover short term rather than make you wait for paperwork to get approved.
Major relief comes later
I was saying what FEMA should be doing, not what it is doing.FEMA's employees don't do that. They mostly handle paperwork that could be done by state workers of volunteers. Most of the time they coordinate with the state for relief supplies and contractors to fix and clear roads, etc.
No. It should provide funds to the states to clear their own roads. It took Curry's DOT to fix I-40 in east TN when Buttplug couldn't do it and FEMA was useless.I was saying what FEMA should be doing, not what it is doing.
A state can't have major earth/debris moving equipment sitting idle for years just in case there is a major disaster at some time. But the federal government can have such emergency equipment ready to mobilize in cases like Hurricane Andrew or the Northridge Earthquake to give immediate relief until the state resources take over. In my opinion that was what FEMA was originally created to be. It certainly was never intended to replace state resources in taking care of the citizens of any given state.No. It should provide funds to the states to clear their own roads. Good
Tornado season is here and Hurricane season at the end of Summer
Red States……No FEMA for you
Call Trump
A part of the problem with FEMA is that money for equipment was diverted for use by illegals and not preparation to assist US citizens.A state can't have major earth/debris moving equipment sitting idle for years just in case there is a major disaster at some time. The Biden Administration and their dishonest surrogate media strongly objected to that observation of course, but I would bet a pretty good steak dinner there is at least some truth to it. But my theory of FEMA being ready with heavy equipment and whatever to mobilize immediately in cases of major disasters I think is a good one. Just giving the states money won't help if they don't have that equipment ready to use immediately.A part of the problem with FEMA is that money for equipment was diverted for use by illegals and not preparation to assist US citizens.
Valid points. The Biden Administration and their dishonest surrogate media strongly objected to that observation of course, but I would bet a pretty good steak dinner there is at least some truth to it. FEMA doesn't either. Where did you get that silly idea? Most of that equipment is owned by the state already in their National Guard units. Helicopters, earth moving equipment for roads, etc. The federal government does not have warehouse full of trucks and equipment standing by anywhere either. Have you ever seen a FEMA bulldozer or helicopter? I doubt it, because they don't exist. FEMA's specialty is coordination of assets and paperwork for funding, something that the states can gear up to do on their own.A state can't have major earth/debris moving equipment sitting idle for years just in case there is a major disaster at some time. How about they mobilze to the border and build a moat. The Biden Administration and their dishonest surrogate media strongly objected to that observation of course, but I would bet a pretty good steak dinner there is at least some truth to it. Thanks for trying but you are entirely missing the point here. Have a good night.FEMA doesn't either. Where did you get that silly idea? Sounds like a plan but probably FEMA would not be the agency to do that. How about they mobilze to the border and build a moat.
How am I missing the point that what you claim is completely false? I say do away with FEMA because the states do a better job, but not for the reasons you stated. It's like everyone blaming the Education Department for bad test scores, They have nothing to do with it, but that is not why they should cease to exist. There are far more good reasons to shut it down. Thanks for trying but you are entirely missing the point here. Have a good night.
I can dream lolSounds like a plan but probably FEMA would not be the agency to do that.![]()
.Rapess, robberies and murders in your leftoid sanctuary states suggests that Jesus hates you,
N Carolina got their FEMA moneyThat's already happened. Ask North Carolina. FEMA sucks.![]()
Have any other fantasy stories from the Interweb?Jesus is just about the only one that did help. The democrat regimes did nothing except confiscate the aid that other states sent and arrest those rescuing those stranded in the storm.
