No One Wants Govt Healthcare

FLASH NEWS; My wife just informed me that our health insurance will increase in cost for next year $360.00.

Obama care was not mentioned as a driver of the increase. More sick and unhelathy people were mentioned as the reason. The company is now on a big drive to get the employees healthier in an effort to reduce the numbers of people needing medical care.

Gee. Who would I thunk it. Stay healthy. Cut down on obeseity, diabetes, heart disease etc etc.

This company is now requesting certain screening tests in exchange for lower premimums.
I have refused so far.

But to answer who wants guvt medical care. I know two men right now that would be willing to take commie run medical welfare if they could get the surgeries they need to not be in pain and able to work again.

I just completed the form one guy needed in his application for Medicaid. I don't know. maybe some of you think that good people who want to do right should suffer with pain and injury that could be fixed, simply because they don't have a way to pay for a surgery.

I don't.

Or I had a tenant that let his diabetes put him in a diabetic coma because he didn't have a way to pay for basic medical care for his condition. Instead he got 3 days in emergency intensive care. The most expenisve care there is and this guy can't pay for it.

Those of us with insurance get to pay his bill when insurance companies pass the costs on to the rest of us for the "free" health care they gave my tenant. Bull shit.

If everybody should pay the same tax rate (the idea repubs like so well), then everybody should have to pay something for the costs of heathcare. And everybody needs health care.

if those two men you know want commie run medicine tell them to go to Cuba......i'm sure that will open their eyes.....

at least your tenant can get emergency care here in the U.S......try it over in Great Britain's "great" NHS.......he'd be waiting in long, long, long lines for emergency care....he might not even get help in time....socialized medicine always results in rationing....

imo our whole health system is mucked up because there are too many middlemen getting between the provider (the doctor) and the consumer (the patient)......employers, insurance companies, State governments, Federal government, Socialists, Big Pharma....etc.

if people bought their healthcare directly and there was transparency.....costs would come way down in a free market.....instead of buying insurance for everyday medicine the only coverage that would be sensible to buy would be a policy for major medical....and the cost of that would drop as well...

if poor people needed additional help.....the government could give them vouchers to help them afford their care....

Hey maybe we should all just quit the health care plans we now pay for because.......after all........we can get it for free just by going to the hospital emergency room. What a great fuking idea. Check with your local hospital and see if that would be ok.

Or maybe, no matter the illness, we should just tell people that need medical care, hey you know what, you could live in Great Britian. That should make them better.

Is that the best ideas we have. Go to the hospital for free care and be glad you don't live in Great Britian.

Though I mentioned the free care from a communist country as a method of describing how badly these people I know would like access to health care, I should have known someone was gonna go off on a "move to cuba rant.". It was an exeragation dude.

But the ideas of removing the middle men from health care is a good one. I think the barter for health care system should be more popular.

To bad the repugs in Congress didn't bother to help craft a better health care plan when they could have.

And on your voucher idea. Isn't that what Obama care does now? Gives a voucher to poor people to help pay for insurance. At least I thought that was how it worked.

Screeaming, health care is rationed in the USA also. Call any doctor you don't know and try and get an appointment. Tell them you have no insurance. No referral from another doctor. Tell the front desk person that you want free care. Or at least very reasonable rates and an extended time to pay the bill.

See how full the appointment book is. See how willing they are to make the doctor available to you.
Doctors ration their time very closely. And they don't work for free.

You either have insurance and can get access to doctors or you wait till an medical emergency occurs and then get the most expensive "free" health care. That is rationed health care. Rationed to those with insurance and those with medical emergencies. The rest of the people get along best they can.

The Post Office problems have been forced on them by the republicans not from bad management.

"In 2006 – Republicans in Congress passed a poison pill piece of legislation forcing the Post Office to pre-fund retiree health benefits 75 years out into the future – basically funding benefits for future employees who aren’t even born yet."

You people are disgusting, lying sacks of liquid shit.

True story.
Deflection to an argument about the USPS is expected from liberal, Obama-sucking assholes such as you.

It is ObamaCare that will totally ruin this country if not repealed. It is the largest tax increase on the American public in HISTORY!...and it DOES NOT APPLY TO CONGRESS OR THE PRESIDENT...

Your boyking, Obama is a goddamned Marxist asshole and an enemy of the United States Constitution.

He must be defeated in order for this country to survive.

I did not "deflect" to anything. I responded to a post in this thread meant to use the USPO as an example of how bad the USPO is to further the aurgument against government managed health care.

I worked for the USPO for several years so I have intimate knowledge of that operation. The clecks and letter carriers are as hard working and dedicated as any employees in America. So take your bad example and your bad mouthing the USPO and shove it up your ass.

So you're saying that republicans are funding pensions for employees not born?
yet they are accused of cutting everything....

Do you know what the word consistancy means? Just asking? Because you cant have a logical argument without it

MassCare proves all these horrors are Pure Pubcrappe. Insurers HAVE pulled some BS- it's not O-care. Cost rises that averaged 15% under Booosh are much smaller already...

Free Birth control saves the country billions, and decimates abortions, dupes.

As soon as all Americans have been thrown off their employer-provided insurance plans and are forced to start depending on the government for health care, Republicans will never be able to repeal it.

Meanwhile, on planet Earth:

Massachusetts may offer some clues regarding the effects of the implementation of health reform since the state’s 2006 health care reform law served as a model for the federal law. Between 2007 and 2009, Massachusetts saw its employer offer rate increase from 72% to 76%, even as the national offer rate held constant. This trend may have resulted in part from the Massachusetts law’s employer “fair share contribution” of up to $295. Most employers are required to pay this fee for each employee for whom they do not contribute to health insurance costs. The federal law contains a similar penalty for larger employers, but it is a much more substantial fine of $2,000 or more.

And in 2010 data:
In terms of [employer-sponsored insurance] coverage for workers age 18 to 64, Massachusetts and Hawaii have the highest coverage rates, at 79.2 percent and 78.2 percent, respectively (Table 8). This is not surprising, as both states have mandates requiring employers provide at least minimal insurance coverage to their workers.

Health care law written by insurance companies. Gee I wonder who the law favors. Private business or govenment.

I have health care. The law hasn't effected me except for being able to keep my daughter covered.

Isn't that terrible.

why don't some of you share how horrible it has become for you since the Obama care law was passed.
I am sure you have hundreds or thousands, maybe millions of personal stories about how bad things have become since the law was passed.

And when you company drops your healthcare?

If a company already makes health insurance available as a benefit, how would the law change this? If companies can't afford to provide it, they don't have to. Now they will have to or face a penalty. The argument makes no sense. And smaller companies under 50 employees don't have to worry about it.

Personally, I wish they would make it so that employers could not offer health insurance and force everyone to purchase it on the open market and pay the full price for it themselves. That would truly bring change, and positive change, to our healthcare system. I even have a hunch that the majority of Americans would all of a sudden like the idea of a one payer system with alternative options available.

As soon as you poor brainwashed schnooks experience O-care, you'll realize once and for all how FOS this BS GOP is...

The single most important issue in this election is ending the national nightmare of Obamacare.

If Obamacare is not stopped, it will permanently change the political culture of this country. There will be no going back. America will become a less productive, less wealthy nation. What wealth remains will have to be plowed into Obamacare -- to the delight only of the tens of thousands of government bureaucrats administering it.

There won't be one moment marking the end of America. Everything will just gradually get worse, like trains and the tax code, until a bustling, prosperous nation is as distant a memory as pleasurable train travel and one-page tax returns.

The reason we have Obamacare is not because the public was clamoring for the federal government to take over health care. It's because the Democrats had 60 senators. In the frozen ideology of the left, it doesn't matter if anyone wants government health care.

Ann Coulter - October 31, 2012 - ROMNEY IS WHAT THE COUNTRY NEEDS NOW

Really? So every industrial nation save ours has a national health care system that covers all citizens. And every one of them have less costs per citizen, and most have much better outcomes in every category.

We pay double per citizen compared to Japan. They live longer, and have a much lower infant mortality rate than we do. The same goes for most of the other industrial nations.
And every citizen in Japan has coverage.

I, for one, wish to see universal single payer health care in the US. I know many others that would like to see the same. Some are even Republicans.

Many nations have this available in their systems. Canada, Costa Rica come to mind.

I dissagree. I believe no one that has faught for years to get health care reform wants YOU that have faught against it to get health care.

I sincerely hope you have a pre existing condition and keep trying to get private health care until the day you die. No need to apologise for your treachery. Just stick to your guns until you are out of bullets. It's called justice.

No. I am not saying that and you know it. The republicans are bent on privatising everything they can so they gave the Post Office an impossible financial burden in hopes of ruining it and making it appear that it has failed from government management.

Have I mentioned today how much I hate you treasonous pieces of shit?

The significance of healthcare software has been on the rise especially after Patient Protection Act has come into enforcement. There are different types of software that are being developed to help bring in the reforms in the healthcare industry. Healthcare solutions ensure that the complete process is streamlined by providing an excellent back end support. There are different categories of healthcare solutions available....

Thanks.

Slow down there cowboy.

That "impossible financial burden" you speak of was co-signed by two of your buddies on the left. And lets not forget the lopsided 410 votes in favor, opposed to the measly 20 who opposed it. Smells bipartisan to me.

I don't think your democrat pals would appreciate you calling them treasonous pieces of shit.

Good, because that does not describe the ACA.

Businesses and individuals are paying less but don't expect rw's to admit that. The lies about paying more for insurance just crack me up. Do they really think we're so dumb we'll believe that?

Forgive me for putting words in your mouth, Huggy.

Since you said you hated republicans, I assumed you were friends with the democrats. Looks like you're an independent thinker. Good for you, we need more of that.

And about the The Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act.. It was in fact co-sponsored by two democrats. The vote was bipartisan as well. So it's pretty silly to pin the tail on one of the sides.
