People used emergency for all sorts of stuff, not just stab wounds but pains, aches and so on. Emergency had to check the pains and aches out and it was quite expensive. If one had an emergency near them it was better than having insurance. ACA was to partially solve that problem.

Instead a conservative thing is that our Founding Fathers pledged this nation to God and in doing so declared that out rights and privileges were commonwealth, equal......period. There is no Lord over me or over you except, our common God. The one one proclaimed in our nations founding. Conservatives, Republicans, Democrats, Liberals, et al have no special privilege for His allegiance. They all are right and all are wrong at the same time. I lost my employer sponsored health insurance that I had all of my life thanks to Commie Care. The after-tax cash that I have to pay for insurance really put a damper on a lot of things. But hey!!! My Pizza Hut employed tenant now has healthcare. Isn't that a good thing; taking from the productive and giving to the irresponsible non-productive? That's the liberal way.

And I'm sure now that electricity costs more due to DumBama closing down coal fired power plants and forcing the remaining ones to invest millions of dollars to make electricity cleaner will do good for the economy and in particular, our job creators.

Right, level the playing field. In liberal terms, that means making somebody else pay for it.

Hey, you want free healthcare, then let's all do it together. Get rid of Medicare, Medicaid, SCHIPS and other programs, and have a consumption tax instead. Then everybody pays, rich, poor, middle-class, the prostitutes, the thieves, the waitress, everybody.

I say a 20 cent tax on every dollar should do it. Then nobody can complain.

Simple: the entire goal of Commie Care was to make as many people dependent on government as possible. After all, the more government dependents, the more likely Democrat voters.

As was noted before Commie Care started, they expected 80% of the population to lose their healthcare plan. This would force people into government healthcare where socialism would take place. The non-productive or low earners would get just as good if not better healthcare than workers that made more money.

So where is this money coming from that insures all these people? Taxpayers for one because the government will pay for (subsidize) healthcare for lower wage workers. Employers who seen the opportunity to get out of supplying healthcare insurance because it got so expensive got out of it. Because they are higher paid workers, they don't get much of a subsidy if any. Now their benefit is taxed indirectly due to the fact money spent on healthcare by an employer was never taxed before.
