I'm seriously thinking about quitting my job and turning lib. Unemployment will probably only last for a couple years, then I can apply for welfare. Then I can take that money and buy me a couple pizzas, a case of beer, a bottle of scotch, a carton of Marlboro's, and an ounce of redbud. Head home to my hud house, and enjoy. If I don't feel too well when I get up the next afternoon, I just head over to my free doctor, then back to the store to do it all over again!

Sounds more like lame ass than progressive. There are self proclaimed conservatives, even on this forum, who hit the dole through the VA.

There are others on the dole through oppression of the poor who proclaim themselves as conservative to help them get away with forcing labor on others who have no choice while they do little, cheating those who provide for them out of a just wage.

The VA is a dole? I always thought that was a benefit for serving. My bad. And as far as being poor, I used to be poor. Dirt poor. At one point, I was working 3 jobs to support my family. I just kept at it, worked hard, and climbed the ladder. Being poor is a choice.
