Let's be honest. This is so true. Government isn't very responsive. Will the government cuts make things better or worse? Sometimes the pain comes first then the solutions to them later. I have to hope the cuts that will be done will maybe someday lead to us actually paying off our debt? Is that even possible? But I'm kidding myself. Trump/Musk/Dr. Oz/Linda/Vivek and the billionaires won't do that

Medical students are generally sleep deprived during their training. I experienced that in the Army as well. We were so tired that half of the class would fall asleep during training lectures, so every few minutes the instructor would yell "ON YOUR FEET!" to wake us up. This even happened outside in the freezing cold which should have kept us awake.
So, it's not surprising that we can't get in to see the doctors in a timely way, they're all asleep in the back room.

You can thank Obama for that. Obamacare fines emergency rooms $100,000 if they send a patient home and that person ends up returning to the ER and is cared for.

That's if there is an ER anywhere near you. Many many places are an hour or more away from the nearest emergency room, especially one with trauma experience.
The emergency rooms of cities are filled every night. And triage has an order. People die. And it is massively expensive with the people working paying the freight for this.
