You allege that you listened to the fireside chats from Roosevelt (nobody believes you by the way) so you must remember the nuking of Nagasaki and Hiroshima. That was 1945. It would require about 12 more years of concerted national effort to put that material on an atlas rocket. The redstone wasn't capable of it.

They've been saying that Iran has been making nukes for 40 years. If Iran actually had them, and used them in a war against its neighbors, they would know that they would be wiped off the map.

Long enough to know that it is a long road between having fissionable material to making a bomb; much much...MUCH further is the road to making a bomb to miniaturizing the payload to fit on a rocket....still further to have any guidance capability to said rocket.

The USA created small nuclear bombs early enough my army unit had some of them in 1963. Iran must be fully aware of this and figured out to do it for themselves.
