I prefer a structural change to a parliamentary democracy.

With a two party system the vast majority in the middle is taken for granted and ignored.

Trying a one party (no party) system again, as at the start, would be an interesting experiment.

On the other hand, there was a $700B bailout that was needed to save the economy right before the election



Politically it is not in your interest to acknowledge both of these (a war and a move that averted an economic collapse), I know.

But most people can look at these two extraordinary events (war is actually not a way of life) and realize there would be long lasting effects well into the next Presidency.

Again, Mr. Trump has none of this to contend with.

Rabbi and others need only look at the protests, a never before phenomena, immediately following the election of Trump and Pence. While a strong defense is necessary to keep our nation secular and democratic, the D Party needs to turn to social media and to expose each the danger Trump represents to the world.

The danger of authoritarianism, extreme nationalism, and the belief or desire of a government that our nation should maintain a strong military capability - with a cavalier attitude toward nuclear weapons - and be prepared to use it aggressively to defend or promote national interests should concern us all.
