mr obama did not run his primary nor presidential run on the economy, nor did mccain run his primary or election on the economy....

we, most citizens, did not know how critical the crisis was until president bush came before us all, and told us that congress HAD TO PASS the Bailout for the banks or we would collapse and told us about the toxic assets, mortgaged backed securities yadayadayada....bush scared the pajesus out of us....we ran to the bank and took out a couple of thousand to put under the mattress for when all the banks collapsed he scared us so much

Bureau of Labor Statistics Data

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, in January 2009, when Obama took office, the unemployment rate was 7.8%. Now it was shooting up and shooting up fast, and to be absolutely fair to Obama, the thing was in a nose dive before he ever got to the stick. It was up to 9.4% by May while he was still trying to figure out how the WH phones worked.

Will Americans realize this, and realize that there has been some improvement? Maybe.

(Again, if it's a Obama vs. Romney contest, I'll vote for a sharp stick to the eye.)
