Who is being wronged by giving favorable loans to previous victims of injustice?

Everyone else who has to pay more for their loans to subsidize the “favorable” loans. Also based upon recent history, the people getting those “favorable” loans will default on them and wreck the economy.

The idea that it's harmful to segregate black people from wealth and opportunity and that we should take steps to prevent and alleviate instances where that happens is not nonsense.

From my read this looked more like addressing attempts from secluded and segregated wealthy white neighborhoods from blocking any new developments that might usher in some racial diversity.

White people got those favorable loans and rates during New Deal policies that helped to subsidize white home ownership that helped create the white middle class.

The loan rates white people got back then were strictly based upon their credit scores. Banks in those days were very picky about risk. Bad mortgages could get a bank president fired and black listed. That’s why redlining came about, too many bad mortgages in poor areas.
