Of all the blatant abuses of power I have seen by so many politicians over the years, I have never seen anywhere near the legal scrutiny that Trump has endured. 91 counts, possible 700 year sentence....come on people, this is way over the top Clown World. Out of all the dirty, lying, hard drive smashing, insider trading, Chinese spy dating politicians that get away with "murder".... "They" are going non stop on the one guy (Trump) that wants to put America first. Think people!!!! This is the most likely person to be voted in as our president. Trump is running for President and should be immune from election interference.

Trump is running for President in order to be immune. This fine seems appropriate and if the photo and comment is not taken down from DJT’s account the fine can be increased daily. It is a small matter really, as the “damage” has been done. It’s just part of Trump’s game to challenge all legal and institutional authority.

The judges have limited their “gag orders” appropriately, and in fact they have long hesitated to act as they would in any other case precisely because they do not want to be seen as irresponsibly interfering in the election. Trump may in fact want to be arrested or “gagged” at some point — if only temporarily — for publicity.

My impression is that the other cases of giving guilty pleas and paying modest fines, even for felonies, do not necessarily mean that these “felons” will testify strongly against Trump, especially if Trump continues to look like he is taking a lead in the polls.

As proceedings in the civil court began on Friday, the New York judge Arthur Engoron asked Trump’s lawyers why “this blatant violation of the gag order would not result in serious sanctions, including financial sanctions and/or possibly imprisoning him”.

It hasnt been a good week for trump. Being threatened with jail may be the worst thing law abiding people might think.But it is unlikely to be in the top 20 for the one term president.

His allies are flaking away and he cant get his man nominated in congress. He has had better weeks.
