I think on the whole it's safe to go with the odds on this one. There have been nearly 2 MILLION human beings coming over that southern border and they are not vetted in ANY way. There is no way to know what viruses or bugs they have on board but it figures that when they suddenly begin seeing a disease that had been eradicated here, it likely came from "outside".
As an aside... we are on apace to see at least 3-4 million more "interactions" on that border before the 2024 election. It isn't a secret that both parties benefit from what amounts to guaranteed voting blocks and extremely cheap labor but what happens when we see extremely hard economic times? How are average Americans supposed to deal with seeing these people taking jobs, over burdening hospitals and schools, and in a lot of cases yes, there WILL be a criminal element among the job seekers.
It got DAMNED UGLY for the Irish back in the day and if that happens with these new arrivals, so be it. They weren't invited, they aren't welcome, and they'd do well to step lightly in the communities they burden.
