New Thread Limit

One of our members is posting a ridiculous number of new threads.

If everyone were to post at such a rate, we would have to
scroll through 5-10 pages just to keep up with the new ones,
not to mention locating older ones of interest.

If this member cannot get a grip on his ego, I suggest
limiting the number of new threads per day per member
to 10-20.

Had this problem on another board. We ended up boot'n that guy. It is interesting reading, but when that many new threads are started, no real discussion takes place and the board just becomes a place to read the daily news.

So, for what it's worth, I agree.

Thank you for backing me up.

I hope this is a temporary problem.

I forwarded thread to the owner. Input from members is important.

I do not think any rules were broken. I think that the members, whether mods or not have a right to be heard. In any case, let's let Jim decide. Personally, wish it had gone that route in the first place, but I think it's a reasonable suggestion. Doesn't mean it will be implemented.

I did not say the offender had broken any rules,
I was suggesting new rules be made to curb his abuses.

How come Kathianne has no problems keeping up?

Thus sayeth D:

Feel free to submit your ideas to this board via PM or here with a thread. If you have a SPECIFIC issue with a user, PM to a Moderator. If that person IS a moderator PM/Email to jimnyc. Jim will review the situation, and make a judgement call. The offended user can either say 'okay, thanks for listening', or if the problem is that big of a deal, they are welcome to 'not' participate.

Before the nastiness gets more passionate, Please leave out non-constructive comments; This thread should NOT be a 'bitch session' between two or more users.

Give Jim a day or two to figure things out.

/sayeth.

Hmm... how can one "abuse" FORUMS by "posting too much"? Would seem to me the more posts there are the more chances there are for lots of dialogue..

Now if we could only figure out who the "offender" is...

I know I am new here, but having seen some pretty stagnant boards, I appreciate the activity level here. Never a dull moment.
