New Poll Shows A Majority of Voters, Including Republican and MAGA Voters Support ACA Tax.

I don't know your brother, kid. Regardless, hard to feel sympathy for an adult man who cries over the cost of healthcare while sitting on $15,000,000 in the bank.
Ain't that a fact. But he's at least being honest and letting me know Trump's moves are costing him too.

But isn't that exactly what your side does? You feel sorry for men who who sit on over $15 million and want to cut their taxes.

He's showing us empathy. Now he sees why people can't retire until they are 65. They have the money but not if they have to buy private health insurance.

They need to let people who are 62 qualify for medicare.

It's funny how Republicans suggest we are living longer and we should raise the retirement age to 70. But I can't find one of them who wants to work till even 65.

I don't feel sorry for anyone. Maybe Charlie Kirk's kids.
I support lower taxation across the board. Not because I feel sorry for taxpayers, but because I think we're all taxed too much.

But we aren't all taxed too much. Look at my brother. He rose to be a VP of HR and he's retired at 55 with $15 million dollars. Is he taxed too much?

I'm a single man who makes almost $100K and I have a lot of money. I don't feel taxed too much. I just don't want them to **** with medicare or social security. Or make cuts to my social security. Or tell me I now have to work till I'm 70 to collect.

My neighbor who was a teacher retired before she turned 62. She is finally collecting social security. She said she's getting a little over $2000 a month. She gets a pension too btw. And she has teacher healthcare until she turns 65. So is she taxed too much? I don't think she is.

So who's taxed too much? I think a lot of us are confused. Or you've been convinced. How can we be overtaxed when the debt is what it is? I think the problem is the government spends too much money on bullshit. And I'm not talking about the cuts Elon made. He's an asshole. I'm talking about Trump's parade that cost millions of dollars. Pete Hegseth's office had to be fixed up, cost millions. Fix up that plane trump's going to take with him in 3 years? 1 billion. How much is it going to cost to change the name to Department of War? $1 billion dollars.

My god man! Trump said he was going to get rid of fraud, waste and abuse and that's all he's done. And most of what he cut, had to be added back because guess what? Those things turned out to be necessary.

You know that charity food we stopped sending to Africa? That hurt farmers. Now we have to bail out the farmers. And poor people are starving now. Congrats. Before we had a good thing going. But you were convinced it needed to be DOGED.

I'm so sick of you right wing ******* idiots. You still like this government? Then you are a ******* NOTSEE I see.

You're missing the point. For me, at least, the issue isn't the taxation required to support these kinds of programs. It's whether it's the kind of problem we should use government to solve in the first place.

In my view, government isn't an all-purpose tool to solve society's, or an individual's, problems. It's really only appropriate for a specific set of problems, namely those that might lead to violence. Government is there to resolve conflicts peacefully. It's not there to provide us with food, health care, education, housing, or any other benes we might want. It's there to facilitate social interaction, to maximize freedom while minimizing violence.

More than three-quarters (78%) of the public say they want Congress to extend the enhanced tax credits available to people with low and moderate incomes to make the health coverage purchased through the Affordable Care Act’s Marketplace more affordable, a new KFF Health Tracking Poll finds. That’s more than three times the share (22%) who say they want Congress to let the tax credits expire.

Most Republicans (59%) and “Make American Great Again” supporters (57%) favor extending the enhanced tax credits, which otherwise would expire at the end of the year and require Marketplace customers to pay much more in premiums to retain coverage. Larger majorities of Democrats (92%) and independents (82%) also support extending the enhanced tax credits, as do most people who buy their own health insurance, most of whom purchase through the Marketplace (84%).

Both 47 and Republicans in the House and the Senate are trying Democrats for the shut-down. That is a lie. Republicans are responsible this crap. They know they need Democrats to pass the budget, Dems need to hang tough. Americans need their health care.

Guess what? Wrong again, but that is what is so right about you.

The Democrats VOTED to close down the government. It can't be any more plain than that.

No, this is on democrats. Republicans said let's pass a clean bill to keep government open and we can work on the final details of the main bill in the coming weeks. Democrats said no.

The Kaiser Family Foundation is left of center.

Note how it's been shorted to KFF to fool people.
Kaiser Permanente

Of course they want more tax credits, thats more government subsidies for them

Yup. My brother was crying today that what Trump is doing to the ACA, is going to cost him big.

This isn't even considering the $2500 more he is going to have to pay this year because of tariffs. My brother pays for private insurance for him, his wife and 2 kids who are in college. This is going to cost him A LOT. Suddenly, he's talking about how he would vote for a Democrat if they would stop with the woke shit. I told him it's the Republicans who bring up woke. They did that to sucker you pal. Now you're going to pay for it.

If your brother pays for private insurance, then hes not on ACA, these tax credits aren't going to affect him.

I had an eye opener this weekend. The owner of my company sent her son to America from Germany to fix what's broken over here. I took him out on my boat. He was blown away. No one in Germany can afford a boat like I have. They may make as much as we do but they are taxed a lot more than we are. So ultimately, they can't get "rich" like we can here. In America, a middle class person can save and become wealthy.

And over there, if you make under $100K, everything is free. Over $100K, you pay. If you pay for private insurance, you get the same insurance as people who get free public insurance. Wait in line. Even though YOU pay.

Now I see what you cons are saying. We don't want to go that way but that is the way we are going. Obamacare. Yea, not good. Successful people are paying for it.

And my brother has $15 MILLION dollars in the bank. But he too was getting Obamacare subsidies. Because he no longer works for a corporation. He buys private insurance for him, his wife and 2 college kids. So now he's going to be paying $3000 a month.

Either way, healthcare is a mess and we can do better than this. We just don't want to go socialism. I get that now. It's going to make healthcare worse for me but better for slackers.
So you admit that wealth taxes means that people in Germany can't afford to buy nice things, and dems want that here?

Also, wtf..he has 15M in the bank and hes qualifying for ACA??? And hes upset about these tax credits going away??? FIFTEEN MILLION??? Doesn't that make him the rich person that dems are mad at, and hes trying to get ACA tax credits??

Well, you see, tax cut extensions for the rich are good.

Tax credits for the poor are communism.

That's why those tax credits were taken away from the poor so the tax cut extensions for the rich would be offset.

Get your mind right, son.
And yet ive not seen a single rich democrat deny those tax credits. What are they waiting for?

In other words Obamacare is so ******* expensive, people want a bailout from it.

Sounds like we should just repeal it.

No, if you make enough money, most people BUY private health insurance because it is way better than the government shit.

And even he is saying he would vote for a Democrat as long as they stop the WOKE Tranny DEI shit and keep the border closed.
Well we all know the Dems will NEVER give up the woke Tranny DEI shit or ever secure the border.

When Joe Blow's health insurance literally doubles, who is he going to blame?

The MAGA Party is utterly owned by billionaires.

The question was "who shut down the government".

It was the Democrats.

I want to see what "government" jobs and programs Trump cuts because of the shutdown. I'm sure he means government jobs/programs in blue states. He wouldn't punish red state citizens. This is why so many programs exist. Because Republican voters benefit from a lot of those programs.

Here's what ******* pisses me off. You wonder if Government should be getting into healthcare, housing, education, environment, etc. I say they should.

What do I think is government waste/fraud/abuse? A multi million dollar parade on the President's birthday, a billion dollar price tag to change the name to department of WAR, a new White House ballroom and everything in gold, a billion dollar plane that Trump is going to take with him in 3 years, are you ******* kidding me? This administration is not about ending waste fraud and abuse. Or what they think is waste/fraud and abuse, to me, is not. What they spend money on is though. Fixing up Pete Hegseth's office? I could go on and on. It's that waste/fraud and abuse that pisses me off. So extravagant with our money while he's cutting healthcare subsidies and programs that help poor people.
