New Poll Shows A Majority of Voters, Including Republican and MAGA Voters Support ACA Tax.

More than three-quarters (78%) of the public say they want Congress to extend the enhanced tax credits available to people with low and moderate incomes to make the health coverage purchased through the Affordable Care Act’s Marketplace more affordable, a new KFF Health Tracking Poll finds. That’s more than three times the share (22%) who say they want Congress to let the tax credits expire.

Most Republicans (59%) and “Make American Great Again” supporters (57%) favor extending the enhanced tax credits, which otherwise would expire at the end of the year and require Marketplace customers to pay much more in premiums to retain coverage. Larger majorities of Democrats (92%) and independents (82%) also support extending the enhanced tax credits, as do most people who buy their own health insurance, most of whom purchase through the Marketplace (84%).

Both 47 and Republicans in the House and the Senate are trying Democrats for the shut-down. That is a lie. Republicans are responsible this crap. They know they need Democrats to pass the budget, Dems need to hang tough. Americans need their health care.

When MTG is the voice of reason on a issue, you know you are in trouble. Republicans are in trouble.

So tax credits are now a tax?

You got your ass kicked in 2024.

Everything says that will repeat in 2026.

STFU

The answer is insurance reform that will bring insurance costs down to be affordable for the vast majority of Americans. Medicaid will cover the truly poor.
Insurance isn't the only issue.

We pay way too much money for health care results for a number of reasons.

One is that we pay claims, no matter what.

So we have a real problem with the elderly going to the doctor when the are lonely or bored.

Also, there is an issue with what they call Holiday-Inners. Elderly who come to the hospital and stay a week because they are "sick". When in reality they live with family who need a break so suddenly granny get's a cough. And Hospitals know they will get paid so they don't challenge it.

Probably the most challenging conversation is that we spend 30% of our health care dollars on end of life care (last year of life) I can't tell you how many instances I have heard of, including family, where people in the last year of life consumed huge amounts of resources trying for a few extra days. It's something the socialized systems address and it's a hard conversation.

Address some of that and you will reduce some costs.

Insurance reform would take care of most of that.

Yup. My brother was crying today that what Trump is doing to the ACA, is going to cost him big.

This isn't even considering the $2500 more he is going to have to pay this year because of tariffs. My brother pays for private insurance for him, his wife and 2 kids who are in college. This is going to cost him A LOT. Suddenly, he's talking about how he would vote for a Democrat if they would stop with the woke shit. I told him it's the Republicans who bring up woke. They did that to sucker you pal. Now you're going to pay for it.
No seriously, people do not like your woke B.S stay away from the children

Is this the first time you hearing about my brother? I know how the other half lives. He lives pretty modestly compared to his CEO bosses. They make him look poor.

He also has 60 acres up north Michigan, a place in Greece and a condo in Florida. 4 homes. And even he is saying he would vote for a Democrat as long as they stop the WOKE Tranny DEI shit and keep the border closed.

Trump is starting to cost everyone more money. "have you seen the stock market lately?" only goes so far with people. When their healthcare premiums go up and we see the economy sucks, and he's making us look bad with the rest of the world, our allies are walking away from us, our enemies laughing at us. Especially after that meeting with the Generals and Military Parade? OMG what a joke we are now with Pete and Donald.
:auiqs.jpg:Oh your poor brother! 15 million in the bank, and still receiving subsidies, he isn't going to vote democrat, it would be like cutting off his nose to spite his face

This is fake news because the question is framed without any context.
People had no idea what they were saying yes to.

Well, you see, tax cut extensions for the rich are good.

Tax credits for the poor are communism.

That's why those tax credits were taken away from the poor so the tax cut extensions for the rich would be offset.

Get your mind right, son.
It is really easy if the are an American citizen, get a job, if they are not get out.

The answer is let Insurance companies free to compete in every state

The answer is insurance reform that will bring insurance costs down to be affordable for the vast majority of Americans. Medicaid will cover the truly poor.

Everybody is poorer when something is so unaffordable it requires government subsidies in order for people to have it. And those government subsidies ensure that the product will remain unaffordable without those government subsidies.

Whatever public services the federal government gets involved in almost invariably results in greatly escalated costs that more often than not make those services unaffordable without government subsidies and intervention. It happened in healthcare. It happened in higher education.

Insurance companies cannot stay in business if nobody can afford their products. So they have to make those products affordable.

Should I get pregnant at my age, it would be a miracle of Biblical proportions. But Obamacare still requires that I and the 50-yr-old woman who has had a hysterectomy are still required to pay for OB-GYN coverage when there is no way we will ever need that. And yet OB-GYN is one of the most expensive insurances due to the high risk of lawsuit. We should be able to pay for the coverage we need at a lower cost.

And that lower cost should also lower the huge deductibles and copays that go into the more 'affordable' Obamacare policies. Those high deductibles and copays have resulted in millions not getting healthcare to avoid those high costs.
Those Government subsidies are a bribe to vote democrat, and they are returned via kickbacks

The poor aren’t going to be affected much if at all if the enhanced credits or the COVID provisions from Biden’s ARP expire. They were paying very little to noting prior to ARP. Those that will pay more are the ones that bought into ACA under the new provisions that allowed for subsidies for those making up to 400% of the poverty level. The ARP also capped the maximum payout to be 8.5% of income. Any amount above that 8.5% is subsidized by the government, meaning the tax payers.

These expansions took advantage of a crisis(COVID) to expand government healthcare, which is a huge policy issue for Democrats. ARP received no Republican support in part due to provisions like those made to the ACA.

When you take a poll among illegal aliens, of course they are going to be in favor of the sucker Yankees paying their way. ACA is a scam.

15th post
If we deported all of the illegals, we could save enough money to give all Americans better coverage. But Democrats want to include illegal aliens because they know that will cause chaos and unrest that they can get their crooked media to blame on Republicans. ACA is a scam
