Nebraska teacher, 26, facing 20 years in prison for dating high school graduate, 19

The 14th amendment doesn't say laws apply equally to everyone except schoolteachers. Our judges are fucked up enough now. Imagine how bad it would be if there were different punishments for different occupations.

Either there’s more to this story or it’s fake clickbait

Perhaps we need to raise the age of consent to 23.

I asked the "all knowing" AI if Cody Pester was convicted and got:

.....his next scheduled court date was March 9, 2026.

As of now, there is no public record of a trial verdict, so he remains pending trial.

The age of consent is 16 in 28 states of the USA. Also 16 in the UK, Canada, & Australia.

It is 13 in Japan. 14 in Portugal, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Albania, Bulgaria, & Italy.

Thats idiotic and needs to be changed. The good thing though is the teen birth rate is dropping and that helps the nation bigly.

Hypothesis.

Student needs an A in Algebra to get a scholarship. She is 18.

Algebra teacher asks her out.

No one see's a problem there?

It's not the age, it's the position the teacher has over a student.

15th post
It is not particularly good form, but it certainly should not be illegal.
I would say it has a lot to do with all of the #metoo movement, #toxicmasculinity etc.
Virtue signaling prosecutors and school officials made a law that is entirely in contrast with other well established laws.

zero tolerance is stupid, use your brain and act according to the FACTS retard.

Well cool. Nice to note how one can agree to ignoring laws we simply don't like.

I'm good with that.
