I don't know what his sentence if any at all will be. I doubt seriously it would be 20 years and I would be surprised if he went to prison at all.

Student needs an A in Algebra to get a scholarship. She is 18.

Algebra teacher asks her out.

No one see's a problem there?

It's not the age, it's the position the teacher has over a student.

How you know she "needs" an A ? Maybe she got it of her own intelligence & hard work. You also don't show any proof of corruption.

It's not illegal for college professors to date college students of that age though universities might frown on the practice due to ethics concerns.

For the same reason nurses, doctors, lawyers, therapists shouldn’t date current or former patients/clients.

If nothing else, dating a former student after graduation strongly implies that grooming and an inappropriate relationship had been happening while the girl was his student

1. I see no reason to imply that an inappropriate relationship had been happening. Buy then I never "imply" anything, ever.

It could have been a parent OR even her. He gets laid, drops her and she makes the call.

Otherwise she could have simply said, as an adult, my sex life is none of your business.
