4. The Life Review of Howard Storm
Next, they wanted to talk about my life. To my surprise my life played out before me, maybe six or eight feet in front of me, from beginning to end.
The life review was very much in their control, and they showed me my life, but not from my point of view. I saw me in my life and this whole thing was a lesson, even though I didn’t know it at the time. They were trying to teach me something, but I didn’t know it was a teaching experience, because I didn’t know that I would be coming back. We just watched my life from beginning to the end. Some things they slowed down on, and zoomed in on and other things they went right through.
My life was shown in a way that I had never thought of before. All of the things that I had worked to achieve, the recognition that I had worked for, in elementary school, in high school, in college, and in my career, they meant nothing in this setting.
I could feel their feelings of sorrow and suffering, or joy, as my life’s review unfolded. They didn’t say that something was bad or good, but I could feel it. And I could sense all those things they were indifferent to. They didn’t, for example, look down on my high school shot-put record. They just didn’t feel anything towards it, nor towards other things which I had taken so much pride in.
What they responded to was how I had interacted with other people. That was the long and short of it. Unfortunately, most of my interactions with other people didn’t measure up with how I should have interacted, which was in a loving way. Whenever I did react during my life in a loving way they rejoiced.

4. Her Love Connection with Her Dog Maggi
As the density changed, becoming lighter and finer, I felt that I was being lifted to another level of awareness – and then I found myself in surroundings that appeared to be more substantial – Maggi was there. My beautiful dog, my beloved springer, came to me. She had died less than a month before, and John and I still ached from her absence.
I felt her presence, her love, and she appeared to me as she had when she was in physical form – only younger, more vital. She said: “You know that Daddy can’t handle both of us being gone right now.”
“Yes, I’m going back,” I replied. “Will you come soon?”
“When it is time, we will know. Now I will show you wondrous things. Let’s explore together.”
If you are having difficulty accepting the idea that my first encounter on the other side was with a dog, you aren’t the only one. While John thought it perfectly natural, one of our daughters became a little, upset when I told her about it. I think she would have preferred that her mother be greeted by Jesus, an angel, or at least by a family member. I did meet a Master Teacher – I’ll get to that later – but Maggi came first. After all, she had been close “family” for many years, and whoever is responsible for setting up the Welcome Wagon over there certainly knew what a delightful experience it would be for me to be greeted by her.

Wildflower Meadow
Here’s the last part of my near-death experience. My guide took me to what I can only describe as an absolutely beautiful meadow. There were rolling hills, beautiful flowers, green grass. It was a perfect day.
And then my guide left. I thought I was standing there by myself, and then, all of a sudden, a man showed up in front of me. Nobody told me it was him; I just knew that it was Jesus. He was different from everyone else. I could see his hands, and I could see his feet. I could see what he was wearing. He had a white robe on with a golden sash around his waist, and he had gold-colored sandals that laced up his calves, but he was so bright I couldn’t make out his facial features. Jesus had so much energy and so much light that was pouring out of him.
He said something to me, and it is something I have tried to do my entire life since then. It was like my assignment somehow. Jesus said, “You must tell them there is no death.”
Right after he said those words, I immediately woke up back in the hospital room. I asked the surgeon what happened, and he said, “We lost you. You were gone for seven minutes.”
Ever since then, I’ve been doing what Jesus asked me to do. I’ve been telling people that something happens after we pass, and it’s something absolutely beautiful. There is so much hope and so much joy, which we forget about here because life can be very hard.
There are a lot of hard times in life, and we are not supposed to remember the other side. But when you see someone who has had these experiences, it gives you hope. There is a reason for all of this. It’s all real, and we live for eternity. There is really no end. When people cross over and leave us here, they are not gone from us—we will see them again.

I haven't the interest/patience to hear/read a thousand near death experiences. It's not that I don't believe in them, or believe them delusions, but some that were proven/confessed to be false I spotted in an instant. I tend to be especially cautious of those claiming to have a message or future prophecy or explanation for/of the world.
I think God's idea was to allow us free will. Divine intervention is only a rare option. Some people smuggle drugs across the border but some never make it past the Tijuana check point.

On the other hand the fact that Atheists seem to have their biggest questions answered. Jewish near death experiencer have their questions answered. Christian and New Age, Hindu or Buddhist near death experiencer have their most troubling questions answered. This variety in NDE accounts is actually rather impressive if you ask me.
