Officer Byrd over reacted, shot and killed an unarmed protester that hadn't hurt anyone...someone who didn't need to be shot! He's the only one out of hundreds of law enforcement officers there that day who ISN'T a hero! He's only a hero to the left because it fits their narrative of what happened that day...that it was an "armed insurrection"! The only people who were armed were the Police. The only Police officer who used a weapon was Byrd and he used it against an unarmed female without warning! That isn't a hero. That's someone who FAILED miserably at his job! He'll never work again as a Police officer because his fellow officers KNOW that he fucked up and when he was doing so he put THEIR lives at risk! He's the guy who shot to kill when everyone else didn't!

Those heavily armed guards showed up to escort the 3 cops in front of the doors away to safety. 4 heavily armed cops are seen coming up the stairs... 3 of them, are then seen escorting the other 3 cops down the stairs. A 4th one remained near the top of the stairs. He may not have even seen Benedict Babbit climbing up the broken out window; but even if he did, he didn't have a clear shot like Byrd did.

And even had he been aware of Benedict Babbitt breaching that barricade, he still didn't have a clear shot to take. He was on the stairs, a lower position than others between him and Ashes.

Her size doesn't matter; the cop had no idea how big or small she was. Her sex didn't matter; the cop had no idea if it was a man or a woman breaking through. Her not being armed doesn't matter; the cop couldn't see her backpack or what was inside of it. None of that factored into him taking that shot.. Those are meaningless factors you throw in because you have no actual defense for her actions.
