NBA's Sterling Brown Arrest Video Released Shows NBA Player Getting Tased

The cops did nothing wrong. .....

Tazing someone over a civil infraction is wrong. Sorry.

So now instead of collecting a $500 parking fine, the city is probably going to pay out millions in a civil rights violation.
As they should....why didn't they just write a ticket for the infraction like 99.99999% of the time happens?
If you had watched the video, you wouldnt need to ask such a stupid question.

I watched the video, he should have been ticketed. He was jerky, but never aggressive.

The reason this encounter is so friggin ridiculous is that Brown hadn't violated any criminal laws, certainly nothing that warranted assaulting him with a taser. Parking incorrectly is considered a civil infraction in most jurisdictions. Also of note is how the officers involved characterized the encounter as Brown getting increasingly aggressive as the pretext for the assault they launched on him. This behavior is indefensible

Sterling Brown Arrest Video Released, Shows NBA Player Getting Tased

New police video shows Milwaukee Bucks player Sterling Brown being tased by aggressive cops during a ridiculous confrontation stemming from a parking violation.

It all went down around 2 AM on January 26 in Milwaukee when cops responded to a report of a car parked across 2 handicap spaces in an empty Walgreen's parking lot.

The cop on scene aggressively confronts Brown and begins to question him about the parking job.

Brown remains calm throughout the ordeal -- but the police officer continues to escalate the situation ... seemingly unnecessarily ... until several more cops arrive.

At one point, the cops order Brown to take his hands out of his pockets but Brown responds, "I got stuff in my hands."

At that point, cops swarm Brown from all sides and wrestle him to the ground.

A few seconds later, you hear an officer yell for the taser and Brown gets shocked.

You can hear Brown moaning in pain.

Sterling has said he did NOTHING to warrant cops using the taser and claimed the video would exonerate him.

Brown has issued a statement saying, "My experience in January with the Milwaukee Police Department was wrong and shouldn’t happen to anybody."

"What should have been a simple parking ticket turned into an attempt at police intimidation, followed by the unlawful use of physical force, including being handcuffed and tased, and then unlawfully booked."

"This experience with the Milwaukee Police Department has forced me to stand up and tell my story so that I can help prevent these injustices from happening in the future."

The mayor of Milwaukee, Tom Barrett, said he was concerned that there could be a public backlash over the incident.
Technical Foul

So you don't like handicapped people and thinking it's funny when some dribbling jock hogs their parking spaces.

He should've taken his hands out of his pockets.

He made a great sound when they tazed his ass, though.

The same day the NFL announces they don't want players kneeling before football games to protest police treatment of black men, including murder, we get this video and story of a wealthy NBA player who maybe had A PARKING VIOLATION getting tazed and treated like a coke dealer.

Makes one cringe as to how grandma would be treated by these cops if she parked improperly while going in to get her pills.

This shit has to stop. I also add that EVERYONE needs to stop getting in cops faces regardless of color, you can find countless videos on Youtube of white people challenging the authority of the police. If you've done nothing wrong then be calm, as Sterling Brown was through most of this. He will definitely have a case against the city and some of these cops should be fired.

First cop had an attitude from the start.
There's a longer version. The cops keep telling him to show his hands and he doesn't. This video starts when they're really getting edgy because he won't show them. Then he says he's got something in his hands and that did it.

I stopped watching when he refused to follow orders.

No. I personally believe that this aggression towards black people, black men in particular, by law enforcement that now everyone can see thanks to our current technology is because it's one of the very few avenues left to the racist element of society. And I say this because black people have long been taken to task for innocuous behavior that is considered "disrespectful" to whites especially law enforcement or others who feel they're entitled to be shown respect.

The prescribed punishment for violating a parking ordinance is a monetary fine - getting a ticket, not being beaten to the ground and tasered. The minute that I saw that they attempted to characterize Brown's behavior during the encounter as him "getting aggressive" with them, I was done. That's what liars do in order to rationalize and justify their behavior. In this case, their unwarranted and unlawful behavior.

Obey lawful orders from the police and you won't get tazed. It's just that simple.

If "grandma" had parked her car across TWO HANDICAPPED spots at TWO IN THE FUCKING MORNING and then repeatedly REFUSED to take her hands out of her pockets while telling the LEOs to go "FUCK THEMSELVES "the bitch would have ended up getting tazed too you MUTT!

In my LE experience every cop knows who the 'bad apples' are and virtually 100% of LEO's officers find ways to not work directly with the bad apple.
They are soon weeded out.
No LEO is ordered to have 'X' leo as a partner.
And they are not required to say why.
HR finds out very quickly though.

Bull, this was an abuse of state police powers. Brown wasn't an absconding felon, his vehicle was parked improperly.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least if they already knew who he was by having run the vehicle's plates.
If Brown hadn't acted like such a kunt the LEOs would have let him go.
Brown KNEW he was causing trouble and he did it on purpose.
Lucky for him he didn't make any sudden aggressive moves.

The bonobo parked across two handicapped spots at TWO IN THE FUCKING MORNIG!!!!!!!
If you were a LEO would you want to question the driver?
The bonobo refused to take his hands out of his pockets. ANY LEO on the planet would then be getting alarmed.
The bonobo thought b/c he is some kind of fucking BB superstar he could get in the LEO's faces.
He might be able to dribble a fucking ball and 'run fast' but he's got an IQ in the low eighties.
Every fucking cop in that city will now be on the lookout for the POS. Next time 'something bad' may happen to him.

I had to look that one up - Charming
